Cash register clearly indicated what discounts were offered. Made sure to tell cashier I wanted the discount I qualified for. He assured me he had it handled. Guess what, he didn't honor the discount I noticed on reviewing the receipt. Had I paid attention I most certainly would not have given anything on the tip solicitation screen. Laziness or inattentiveness by cashier. Unfortunately the sausage was the worst in memory. The skin was so tough you couldn't bite through it. Had to take sausage pieces with skin off sandwich to eat. Expectation is for sausage to have a "bite" to the skin but not to be tough as shoe leather. Not appropriate for a sandwich. The sausage itself was the big brother of convenience store Slim Jims in taste as well as consistency.

I had the brisket tacos, hubby got the two meat with lean brisket and turkey. The meat is smoked with local mesquite wood and seasoned perfectly. The beans are very good too, so was the salsa, potato salad was solid. My only complaint is the tortillas were store bought, not made in house. Yes, it is expensive. More than you would pay pretty much anywhere else. I assume it's because Terlingua/Study Butte is in the middle of nowhere at the end of the supply chain. However, I do think it's worth the stop.

Food was delicious. They had live music too. Margaritas were tasty. Definitely don't miss.

Brisket sandwich - one fatty and greasy the other dry! They didn’t arrive at the same time. Beans Were very watery and tasteless- a few mouthfuls for $6. I was charged $2 for using credit card! Wish I’d known would not have added tip.The meal was very expensive for 2 sandwiches and sides. Beer extortionate- prices not displayed.Very disappointed after reading reviews.

My wife and I had dinner this evening and the brisket and ribs were delicious. I had beans and potato salad for my sides and enjoyed both. You order from the register by the bar so if the sign says "Pick Up Here", you're at the wrong counter. There is a full bar we didn't take advantage of, but noted for next time. There is an ATM so before you use a credit card and pay the (advertised) up charge, just go get some cash.

I eat here every single time I'm in this part of the world! DB rocks, his food rocks, and it's a great place to hang out! End of story.

Phenomenal dry rub ribs. Best I’ve ever eaten. Delicious moist pulled pork and very tasty sausage. We absolutely loved this place. The building has a rustic garage theme. Very clean. Great value. Fast service. We dined in the first night and the food was so delicious that we went back again the next night for takeout.

This place has the best pulled pork I've ever had - no joke. The brisket, ribs and sausage - all excellent. Most unassuming building you've ever seen, almost comedic. And yet, inside, fantastic food! Definitely recommend checking this place out if you are anywhere near Terlingua and BBNP!

We had the brisket sandwich with a side of waffle fries. The brisket was amazingly good. I have heard a lot of hype about this place, and I finally had the opportunity to try it out. It was worth it, a little pricey but well worth it

While visiting the wonderful town of Terlingua, I had the pleasure of dining at this establishment, and I must say, it was an absolute delight. If you find yourself in Terlingua, I highly recommend treating yourself to the BBQ here--it's truly delicious. I indulged in pulled pork, sausage, ribs, brisket, and cole slaw, and every bite was incredibly satisfying. The restaurant itself is clean, and the staff couldn't be friendlier. Don't miss out--enjoy!

Both the brisket and pulled pork were bland and not smoked. No bark or smoke rings at all. Tasted like it came from a package. Beans were bland too. Cole slaw was the only thing decent. Way overpriced, small portions, and not done on a smoker. Don't waste your time or money. You could do better on your backyard grill.
