Fun place good food! Hang out and watch the sun go down. Gets crowded, but you can always wait at the outside bar

Went to the Starlight Monday and it was (predictably) swamped. (Our first visit was in August 2022 and we just waltzed in. April is a much more popular month,) We waited over 90 minutes for a table (which was very close to the estimated time.) We spent the waiting time on the patio with some margaritas and brisket queso (both highly recommended.) When our table was ready, service was good and the food was great. The chili burger was very tasty. My wife had a salad and a bowl of chili and was happy with both. We will probably be back before we leave town, and we will probably be waiting for a table with margaritas and queso. It's not really a bad way to wait.

Very, very disappointing experience!! We waited 2 hrs 10 min for our food. A couple next to us waited just as long and we watched as others waited a very long time also. Could never recommend a place with that long of a wait. Longest we ever waited, never again!

Our meals and our server were stellar. Two meals, an appetizer and 3 drinks with tip and taxes under $70. Wish I lived nearby as I would eat there regularly!

Worst Steak I ever had. Ordered a 12oz ribeye which came out flavorless and like leather. $50 a steak and soggy vegetables, not sure why this place gets so many people with this quality of food. Service was slow. The porch and area are nice to hang out while waiting for service, but that wait is not worth it for the sub-par food and exorbitant cost. Stay away. I think people go just because there isn't much else in area, but you are better off buying a steak and cooking at a campsite.

Really cool place and ambiance, and the gift shop next door is amazing. The waits are 2+ hours the closer you get to the weekend, and in my experience, the food was underwhelming and bland. The antelope was prepared well so that it didn’t taste too gamey, but lacked flavor, even salt. The mashed potatoes had some pieces that weren’t mashed or cooked thoroughly, and the green beans were just meh. For the price, the food felt like it was an afterthought, assuming that the place will continue to be filled with tourists regardless of quality. Visit, but save your appetite for El Gordo down the road.

Over crowded. 1 1/2 hour wait. I guess it’s what you might expect to get at a restaurant so close to a National Park in the middle of no where. You should not come to Big Bend looking for great restaurants. That’s what a city like San Antonio is for.

It's in the wild west and it's wonderful. The Margaritas and the brisket tacos were 5 star.

We arrived about 8pm, and were seated quickly. What a great experience. We had Brussel Sprouts and Fried Antelope appetizers, they were both amazing. My entre' was the brisket. Also amazing and more than enough for a big appetite. Our Vista was well worth the ride from Chisos Lodge. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the area.Parking: Large free parking lot.

Family atmosphere with an eclectic menu. We tried the chili (highly recommend), the brussel sprouts (flash fried, sauteed in a chili pepper sauce, and adorned with...wait for it...BACON!). Also woofed down a very good burger. They have seafood, steaks, and other grown up meals.

Located in the heart of Terlingua's old town aka ghost town. But this place is busy and maintains both local favor and good vibes for visitors. I'll just go right to what we ate. Brisket plate which was priced just above the brisket tacos so a good deal and satisfying even if a bit fatty; but that's brisket. I had the shrimp tacos after finding out the veggie tacos were not available. Pretty nice with cabbage and a small side of guacamole. The guacamole and chips were great. Guacamole is rich ie smashed avocados; hey we're on the Mexico border and a huge basket of chips. Good house Margarita for $7 which I like to try versus the double the price other margaritas. Good beer selection. We order an Old Fashioned with Woodford. Ah mediocre but this isn't KY. Good service. Definitely check it out if you're in the area!

This is quite the nostalgic experience. The food is great, the atmosphere is rustic and old western and the service was excellent. Granted we were dining late and there were only a few tables being served at the time but it is for sure a bucket historic place to visit.
