We are in town for a few nights to hike at Big Bend and loved the vibe. Everyone is very friendly and the beers are cheap (you don’t see that in Austin nowadays). 10/10 recommend for anyone visiting town. We will be back!

Was in Ghost Town this past weekend for the Music Bash and the Boathouse was the place to be! Bartenders and crowd were both friendly with good vibes all around. The back deck is wonderful. There was live music every day with a dance space the folks were using, including me on the last night.
There was an open mic one afternoon. I participated by sharing a piece of prose that always I get emotional when I read in public. I threw back a couple of their delicious margs (hoping that wouldn't happen this time), braved the mic and... humiliated myself by chocking up. And yes, as a man, I did feel I humilated myself, but no one there made me feel that way. I had too much fun and there was too much beauty there to now hide in shame ;-) I'll be back!
