Travelers be warned, this is apparently a locals only bar. The bartender (male in his 60s with a ponytail) is the single most irrational and rudest person I’ve ever had the displeasure of meeting. I met another traveler who had a very similar encounter with the same bartender. My recommendation? Save your money and take it to La Kiva, they are exceptional and friendly.

We are in town for a few nights to hike at Big Bend and loved the vibe. Everyone is very friendly and the beers are cheap (you don’t see that in Austin nowadays). 10/10 recommend for anyone visiting town. We will be back!
