I am a couple days late with my review, we ate lunch at Texas Steak and Grill on Tuesday the Sept 23rd. It was wonderful, we could tell by driving up that it was going to be a great place to eat. Small town, local cafe, parking lot full. It did not disappoint!! Starting with the service everything was awesome, food to die for (we each had the Chicken Fried Steak, mine with mashed potatoes and white gravy, and broccoli covered with cheddar cheese, hers with a bake potato - loaded). The waitress was friendly and even gave us info on some wineries to visit as we had inquired about them. I didn't get her name, but on the receipt it shows Server 23. She was very nice, friendly and chatted with us some. The whole experience again was super. We highly recommend stopping in while your in the area, or make it the destination, It's that good.

Great stuff!! I decided to try this little place. My taste buds are extremely happy I did! The ribeye was full of flavor and tender. Baked potato was perfection. Loaded with butter cheese and sour cream. Nice, crunchy salad. The icing on the experience was the service. The young lady was knowledgeable, friendly and very accommodating. I simply mentioned I would need to get a bowl of beans next visit so I could properly enjoy the cornbread served with my meal. They magically appeared! I'm soo full! Stop by and give them a try!

This was a pleasant surprise after trying to go to a different steak restaurant and they were closed for unknown reasons at 6 PM on Sunday. Now I know I’ll visit this place over the national chain again. Service was excellent food came out prompt and correct. Steaks were good and the chicken was very well flavored. Potatoes and salads were all excellent.

If you have not given this place a try it’s a MUST! You cannot go wrong whether it’s a steak & baked potato you are craving or a burger,seafood combo, or chicken fried steak/chicken! There isn’t anything that isn’t worth 5 stars here! Also their desserts are phenomenal. The peach cobbler is homemade and delicious, and the chocolate pie is the best in the state! Not to mention they are the most amazing people to work for. Great family owned place & it’s BYOB so come see us and enjoy some yummy food!
