Great place to get a bite to eat. The atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. Service is great. Food was delicious and reminds you of meals your grandma used to make. I had the Chicken Fried Steak....soo good! Will definitely eat here again.

Best chicken fried steak in Texarkana !!!!! Fresh yeast rolls better than Texas Roadhouse. Finally anyone that likes fried okra even a little bit will think this is the best ever prepared at a restaurant. Half portions on their entrees are available. And the prices or so affordable compared to most local restaurants. If all of the waitresses there are as outstanding as Brandy M., then they have the best service around too. One more mention is the Nostalgia of this restaurant. We sat entertained just looking at the walls. Thank goodness Dixie Diner Remains the Same after all these years!

Food is southern comfort. Chicken fried steak is excellent. I had chicken pot pie soup that was great. I didn’t miss the crust! Haha! Several large groups were there…possible holiday gatherings.

We were cutting thru Texarkana and this popped up as a local suggestion. Soooo worth the stop! The food was delicious and the portions (even the 1/2's) are HUGE! Great atmosphere and service. You will not leave disappointed.

Good home cooking restaurants are hard to find. Great ones-near impossible. Dixie Diner is one of the greats. Stumbled onto this place while traveling on I30. We had fried chicken, lots of veggies, cornbread, rolls, and lemon pie. All delicious. Very hospitable service and the owner stopped by our table.
