Very generous portions. Brisket was cooked well- tender and moist. The house Bbq sauce was a great compliment to the meat. Jambalaya rice was great- could have made a meal out of just that. Pinto beans had just enough spice to make them enjoyable. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area and want bbq. Thanks!

First time eating at the establishment. They have a nice size menu with quite a variety. However the gentlemen took his time to enlighten me on dishes to try and behold you'll get your money's worth along with his customer service and that's a plus for me!! You will be very well satisfied. I saw another patron order a baked potato dish with a meat topping and man of man... You really can eat none of their food alone.. Lol you need a team to go in with you... Lol good food

It had been a couple of years since my husband had been to Grand Prize BBQ, and he was excited to take me. Their service was stellar! 100% Texas style bbq sauce! The burger was good, the potato salad was good, and all the vegetables were super fresh; however, the brisket and ribs were dry, and the ranch for my salad was not good at all. Also, my husband was disappointed they didn't have the ribeye sandwich anymore.
Oh! And they had great tea!

If you want some real Texas barbecue then grand prize barbecue is the place for you. It is the best place I have been to yet. The meat is well seasoned and tender and juicy. They make their own barbecue sauce and it is incredible. The restaurant is located in Texas city.
The chip bar bq was dry & old.service was terrible. For the price I paid..they suck on quality.

Texas City Location: Food is pretty good. There's only one problem as far as I'm concerned, the food is never to my liking as far as its temperature. It's usually lukewarm and I like my food hot.! And you figure sitting on a steam table that it would be. Again the food is good but it's just not to my liking as far as the temperature.
