Texas Pit Stop

Times i have went here and the food is desent and other its not good but they are a bit expensive for what they want to give real small portions for alot of money. My deal is give people there money worth and your customers will be good to you. The service is not to welcomeing either that old lady has a dry attitude. They act like we should be happy they selling bbq to you instead of that we give them buisness,all about character.

Great atmosphere, food was good, also came home with some really good pork skins. I enjoyed the presentation, different but nice.

Definitely fell off. Use to be really good. Mac and cheese had no flavor at all. Ribs had little to no meat and brisket was dry

The worst BBQ that I have ever had. I order the pulled pork with green beans. No flavor to either item. The pulled pork had no smoke flavor. It tasted like it had been cooked in the oven.Two bites out of it and could not eat the rest. The green beans had huge slices of onions and tomatoes but no seasoning. We got our kiddo the chopped beef brisket (dry) with the twice baked potatoes. The brisket was slathered with BBQ sauce (we asked for no sauce) so my son did not eat it. Plus it was very fatty. Twice baked potato was cubed potatoes that was so greasy it was oozing butter. The potato was not even tender at all. It was not even baked once. Finally, my husband got 2 meat plate, sausage and brisket with mac and cheese and coleslaw. The sausage had too much fat and was so greasy. The brisket had no smoke ring and was also on the fatty side. The macaroni and cheese was the only edible item. The coleslaw had soggy vegetables in it. The side of onions must have been cut up a few days or weeks ago. It was a terrible first impression. We will not be back. Do not waste your $$ on so called BBQ.

Counter help should be more patient with costumers that are not a regular and we were our first time going and had many questions and she seemed a tad bit irritated about answering them

Price of food is not worth it. Food does not taste like it's been on the pit. It looked and tasted like it was either boiled or done in the oven and then microwaved. The food was greasy and unseasoned. The boudain balls smelled like they were cooked in old grease and were soggy. This was a waste of $50. Will never go there again.

The food was terrible. It was greasy, flavorless and taste like boiled BBQ, not like it came off the Pit. The brisket and the ribs taste the same and the BBQ sauce was not good either. I should have known because you don't even smell BBQ outside or inside the place. Even when we received our food, you could barley smell anything. You should be able to smell your food and the aroma normally fills your car, but there was no smell on the way home. Was very disappointed when we got home. This 2 meat plate was $19.99, I wouldn't pay $5 for this plate. I will not return here. 0/10 do not recommend.

I had food that was catered from here at the annual meeting for Coastal Credit Union, it was horrible. There was a half of chicken put on every plate and the meat was not cooked completely, red inside in some cases with slight blood in the chicken. Horrible food and horrible presentation.

Food needs to be seasoned, and the mac and cheese was too thick.

Wanted authentic texas bbq but got this instead. Soda was the best part of the meal, Meat was cold, bbq sauce was hot some how, fries were good, also got the baked potato, was warmish but toppings were cold.

I have never been to the one in Texas City I always go to the one in Lamarque on Main. The one in Texas City sucks. It seems as if they took the barbecue and just threw it on a dirty pit and threw it in a box. The loaded potatoes taste like they are out a box and for 37$ I should have gotten more for my buck. Ribs old brisket old and potatoes fake. I will never go back again. Left a nasty taste in my mouth.

Don't ask questions when ordering. The lady at the front desk gets annoyed. However, if you do order something, and there is no more, the lady will get annoyed. And while you have to figure out what to change your order to, the lady will be annoyed. Ask for packets of ketchup. She's annoyed. You see the theme? While someone was ordering, she answered her watch phone, and had a whole conversation before completing the ladies order. I think I see why this place is always empty.

The food is okay, but what's worse is the woman at the register, her attitude is always abrupt bordering rude. Definitely needs a lesson in customer service

Great BBQ brisket was delicious and soft, and them ribs were tasty. Fried okra and creamy potato salad were seasoned really well.. Will definitely hit this spot again..
