It's an standard small town dinner long on locals and atmosphere. There's lots of room and relaxation to be had. The decor was surprisingly an old Art Deco office building repurposed into the restaurant. Some of the original Art deco decorations were still there and in good shape.

This stop gave me the stamina to complete a 12-hour drive! I called ahead mid-morning and my order was ready in 5 minutes. Wonderful customer service and easily substituted vegetarian options for a piping hot, delicious breakfast burrito. Super cute inside too! I will always stop here in the future. Thank you!

El Sazon de Martha is hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I stopped by while traveling across the country and was so impressed that I nearly turned back just to enjoy another round of their incredible tacos. If you're anywhere within 50 miles of Texline, do yourself a favor and make the trip—it’s absolutely worth it!

Excellent huevos a la mexicana plate. Stopped early one morning. Decorated nicely and very clean. Inexpensive as well. Highly recommend.
Great service! Lots of Food worth the trip to drive a couple of more miles for a big breakfast. And it’s clean restaurant. Plenty of parking for our living quarter horse trailer. Large portions of Food. It’s a must stop if you are driving through and want to homade hot delicious food.

So I live in DFW but I like to climb 14ers in the summer, and I drive through Texline on my way to Colorado. Last year I started back early and I really wanted a smothered burrito since I’m from Colorado and that’s kind of a thing in Colorado. But it was too early when I drove through Raton, and by the time I got somewhere where restaurants were open, I was in Texline and found this spot. This is without question the best smothered burrito I’ve ever had. It’s called “The Big Boy” and for good reason. I always get mine “wet“ with their green sauce on it. I like carnitas in it, but they have lots of meat choices. Martha is the undisputed queen of smothered burritos. This burrito is as close to perfection as you can get. And I swear she keeps trying to make it bigger so that I won’t be able to eat it in one sitting. So far though, she has failed. I’m always starving the day after climbing a 14er. If you are ever driving through Texline and you like smothered burritos, you have to stop here.
