I had the “Little” Tex from the lunch menu. The only thing little about that was the price compared to the portion size, and the taste was fantastic.I highly recommend you try this place out!

Great experience and this place is a hidden gem. Excellent brisket and sausage. Pulled pork was good too. Turkey was ok. The sides are difference makers. Surprise side dishes were the cauliflower and the fried green tomatoes. We went with a group and got to try a little bit of everything. Elote, okra and cauliflower were my favorite sides. Mac and cheese was ok. Will definitely be going back to try the Brisket grilled cheese with cauliflower as a side.Parking: Lots of free parking .

Our 1st time there. Fries were excellent ! It's a BBQ joint, and my friend had BBQ sandwich. I had a taste for pastrami and it was excellent. And the young lady wrapped up a half sandwich for safe travel in a TO GO box. Sharp employee. Will be returning.Even if they didn't have Guinness.... LOL

Caveat: I came in at noon on Sunday. Not exactly prime time. Very nice build out and great beer and whiskey selection. I had the brisket and the pulled pork. Not great flavor. Under seasoned and not much smoke. Sat at the bar. Service was disinterested bordering on hostile. Currently listening to the manager tell the waitress and the bartender how much more money they make than she does.Great potential, poor execution. Probably won’t be back.

We stopped by Barrel & Bones at The Colony for dinner with a large party. They were able to accommodate us with short notice. The food was hot and made to order. The service was friendly and quick and was able to answer questions and make suggestions. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable. It is whiskey barrel themed and there were tiny ducks everywhere.Vegetarian options: They do offer salads.Dietary restrictions: Everything is made to order and may be modified upon requestParking: There is a large free parking lotKid-friendliness: Their menu may not be suitable for kids who don't like meatWheelchair accessibility: This is on the first floor. There are low top tables.

Not impressed me and my wife went last Saturday. Meat not smoked enough. Good service good whiskey. Not so good barbecue. I have had much better. I guess I will have to go back doing my own..

There are better BBQ places nearby. I almost feel bad giving this place 2 stars but I feel like it's necessary. I got the 2 meat 1 side option for $20. I chose the brisket, chicken, and mac & cheese. Both the brisket (flat and point) were dry and the chicken was even drier. Anytime BBQ requires sauce to be good is a bad sign. Cooked properly the smokiness and seasonings should shine through with the juiciness of the meat. This was not the case here. The mac & cheese was better but not fantastic. It was a little one note with not enough breadcrumbs to elevate it. Service left something to be desired as well. Requested the check and while one employee droned on and on about politics with some patrons the other employee made 5 drinks, took multiple orders to tables and then finally brought my check 10 minutes after requesting it. I don't necessarily blame the waiter, I blame his lazy or distracted counterpart. The drink menu was extensive but being on my lunch break from work I did not try any and it is a blind spot in my review

This is a hidden gem. Great food, service and great place just to hang out. Mikaela our server was the best server I had this year. Friendly, kind and truthful. She was the only server at the time, but she took great care of us. The ribs was so tender falls off the bone. The okra was decent I had better but the rest of our order was great. Will definitely return in the future.
