I ordered a meal and the man at the counter sent me to the front of the convenience store to pay while he prepared my food. I paid with a credit card but when I returned to the Dickey’s counter to pick up my food, the man at the counter demanded that I give him my receipt. I handed it to him and he mumbled something and then told me to wait right there. I had no idea what was going on but stood there for about five more minutes. I finally went up to the front of the convenience...
5 stars for taste of meat. 2 stars for “ambiance”; looks dark/dingy. 1 star for plastic utensils. 1 star for “roll”….tiny, cold, tasteless. 2 stars for size of sides…..great taste but chintzy. Very poor upkeep…..light bulbs out, exterior sign looks burned, hand-written signs in window advertising other food. Terrible color/decor; looks tired/old. Franchising has ruined this once-great brand.
This Dickeys just recently re-opened after a remodel and it is better than ever. I had the brisket and it was tender and flavorful. I would highly recommend!Pro Tip: Ask them about their secret menu...
