As a Chicagoan Illinois native, y’all hit it out the park!! Usually I go to Portillos In Gurnee Illinois… since we moved to San Antonio this is always a must stop on the way home to Illinois or at the house in San Antonio!!!

Great food and service tastes just like home!! Y’all didn’t ruin the chain by selling food still top notch!!!

I had a charbroiled hotdog & fries. In Texas, hotdogs and polish are hard to find and definitely charbroiled is a luxury! Perfecto!!!

The food was great. The service was great, but since the place is kind of loud we couldn't hear our order. I think it would help if they had screens showing which orders are ready or say it a lot louder

Beef sandwiches and Chicago style hot dogs were really good.
I'd recommend getting the sandwich with extra gravy plus more gravy on the side so you can dip into it. (versus ordering dipped)

Update: still best sandwich and hotdog.

I’ll give them a 3 because of service at the time to order . System is very slow and just one person at the cashier. People doesn’t know how to order and just one cashier!

Great atmosphere for a "fast-food" place. All in all though, the food was very tasty, I just felt the sandwich (the #1 choice) to be kinda... basic? Lacking? It was tasty, but it was missing something. Cheese, maybe another sauce? I'm not sure, but something was missing. Worth the visit for the Cake Shake alone.

I visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, and the parking lot was almost full. Although there was a long line to order, it moved quickly, and I noticed several ways for folks to skip the line entirely. I ordered the Italian Beef with sweet peppers and extra gravy, but unfortunately, my sandwich arrived without any gravy, and the peppers were scarce—only two were included, and they were just in the wrapper rather than in the sandwich itself. The place was busy enough that I didn’t spend the time to go back and ask for a correction.
