Came in with a couple friends to grab some drinks. We were instantly greeted by our server Val. She was very attentive and personable. Made the experience so much more enjoyable. Food and atmosphere were great as well. Highly recommend

Great place to hang out with friends and dog friendly environment.

My family, friends and I very much enjoy visiting The Local Shacks. They have a very large pet-friendly yard with games and plenty of seating as well as covered but open-air seating at tables and couches. They also have a smaller air conditioned space where their main bar and food counter are. You can choose between a few different full service walk up bars that they’ll open up based on number of patrons.
There are plentiful TVs to see your team play.
One huge standout is the staff! I’m not sure if it’s very selective hiring, training or a combination but every time I’ve been, busy or slow, I’ve experienced Chick-fil-A caliber service. Check The Local out the next time you’re looking for a patio hang-out.

(My per person spend noted is not because they are pricey…. Their prices are in line with other establishments in the area. We just like to hang out there for a while.)

This was our first visit and we enjoyed the atmosphere. TVs everywhere so it didn’t matter where you found a table.
The food was good, we only had appetizers. The service was great even though they were very busy.

The TCHS class of 1994 just celebrated our 30 year reunion at The Local Shacks at Austin Ranch. 10/10 recommend!! Valerie so was so sweet and helpful all evening as were all the staff and bartenders. The venue was a perfect place to have a class reunion. I’m pretty sure they played some 90’s throwbacks just for us too. Great experience all evening! We will definitely be back!

Such an awesome venue & the service was phenomenal!! Perfect place for a fun group outing! Jared, one of the servers/bartenders, took wonderful care of our group & was super attentive throughout the night. He ensured that everyone’s drink was full, helped us with all game supplies (bags for corn hole, balls for beer pong, etc.), and made sure all needs were met. Our crew had an excellent time hanging out on the patio & enjoying a little friendly competition with all the games. Spectacular night from start to finish & we can’t wait to go back!!

Great concept, atmosphere, and service, worst drinks ever!

This place has so much potential! Everything about it is great but the bartenders are so scared to even put a full shot of liquor in a drink it's ridiculous! Bartenders use a jigger which is fine, but they wouldn't let it touch the top, not even close. I'm not asking for a lot but please give me at least what I paid for. Asked the bartenders what the deal was and they said if they get close they're out. I guess there's a reason such a great place was so empty on a football Saturday. Not bad if you drink beer but don't expect much otherwise.

Great stage, no band. This place is like Six Flags without the rides.

Again, great place, just don't expect real drinks or anything close to it and don't expect to get what you pay for. Change what you need to charge, we're all good with that, but give us what we paid for. Most of our crew know the owner, most of us won't be back

My husband and I and quite a few of our friends frequent this place regularly. Love the staff, but it just seems to be going down hill. Events are sporadic, and they're either posted way in advance or last minute. The bar is understocked that we have to change or drink preference. I asked one of the girl managers when the A/C would get fixed and she said the owner was too cheap. This place has great potential, but I feel it needs to be managed better. We love our bartenders though, they are awesome! Highly recommend this place if they can get their act together.
