Stopped in for dinner after a day of running errands. The food was tasty.. roughly $6 per taco but a little larger than street tacos. The flavors all blended well. We got the grilled steak (2), chicken and waffle, and fish n’ hips taco with a side of elote and chips. The elote had a slight kick, but mostly mild and really good. Ask for extra queso fresco! The chips were a bit stale, but I love blue corn chips!
Great food. Could eat there several times a week and not eat the same thing.

Its new, it can be crowded, but the line moves quick and we had no wait for a seat for a decent sized group of motorcycle riders. Really like the selection of "taco" menu items from standard to creative combos. My buffalo chicken was messy but really good. My miss was the standard taco with ground beef, as it was very dry. If you want street tacos (the BEST) not really the place for it, but if you want to try something different and good I would give it a go.

Tacos are not with $5. For sure not the best Tacos, beef was dry, hard... Chicken was just OK.There was a couple that ordered food, both were in wheelchairs and you can see them struggle moving around the same space. The person that called their name when the food was ready saw the gentleman trying to take food to their table... But didnt offer help. As a patron, I helped with the food and moving stools out of their way to make them feel comfortable and enjoy their date.Velvet Taco can up their customer service training and encourage them to be aware of people in their store.It was disappointing to notice the employees did not show that they cared. VT, 121 near Hard Eight, The Colony, TX.
