Always a great experience! We normally do take out, but decided to dine in tonight. After being completely ignored at Kyu next door, we decided to come over to Saigon where we know service and quality are always a top priority! (:

Great customer service the greeter and the owner were very nice and patient with me as I made my to go order. Just eating the food now it was still warm and taste freshly made. I would go back again and try other food.

Food is just okay, nothing great. But not happy with my family tipping twice without knowing. We got an automatic 20% charge for a large party and they still asked us to tip again when we checked out. We only realized after the fact when we got the receipt. Very deceptive and paired with the okay food we highly recommend going somewhere else.

Was here yesterday in the afternoon. The young lady serving us was very rude, always had an attitude for some reason. Called me a racial slur while clearing up the table. The pho was okay the portion was pretty good. Orange chicken was pretty good. Honestly the food isn’t bad it’s just the service, staff can come off pretty serious

The food was really good. Our waitress was MIA though. She also lacked common sense. For example, we had two families at our table. She took my families order, and brought us our food, before even getting my brother's family's order. When she brought us our food, she didn't even ask them for their order. Also, check to see if your tip is already on the bill. It might have just been because we were a table of 8, but look for it. I did not notice, gave a 20% tip ontop of a 20% tip.. so yea, I gave a compounding tip of over 40% for horrible service.

The food has changed. I used to eat here all the time. I thought I was going crazy but according to another review the ppl who cooked before were fired and recipes were changed by the owner. The meat isnt as marinated or grilled well and tastes different. The fries come cold. The broth is different. Its not terrible by any means but its just not amazing like it used to be. Thought they were just off their game for a bit but it looks like this is the new norm.

My expectations were low for North Houston suburban Pho, but I was blown away! So flavorful! Hot, tasty, ample portions, meat cooked well, and both basil AND cilantro! The mediocre places skip basil, so that was pleasant surprise. Also, the cafe sua da was perfectly strong. Good price, calming atmosphere too. Cheap too!!! I've had great pho in Seattle and SF Chinatowns so I'm no amateur and this place can keep up. Go there!!!

Yet again another super cheap and greedy restaurant. Bowls of pho here are between $12-15 which okay, fine, that’s expensive for pho but you’d think they would actually give a good portion right? My large bowl of pho came with about half of the bowl filled with broth and around 5 pieces of meat for $15.
Why is it that Vietnamese restaurants around Houston are so stingy and cheap when it comes to their customers. I did call them the next day as I didn’t want to say anything during my visit and explained to them that it’s an off putting experience to have a restaurant be so cheap. The manager told me that was standard operating procedure at all Vietnamese restaurants. When I told him I was going to write a review, he said I could come in for a free bowl of pho. I told him I didn’t it and wasn’t begging for a free bowl of soup. All I want is to pay good money for good food and a good experience.

I’ve been meaning to try this place out when my old Pho favorite closed down, and man, I’m glad I did! I ordered through DoorDash and I was missing the broth. Obviously, the main part of the meal. Not only did Saigon make it right, they sent me an extra Pho with the DoorDash order. I’ve been extremely sick and this was the one thing I was wanting. The broth is so dang delicious and I will say it was worth the wait! Thank you so much!!! :) I will definitely be back to check it out in-person!

Horrible experience with the owner of this restaurant. After patronizing this restaurant regularly for over a year, we noticed the food quality had been declining over the last 6 months.
We started out coming in a few times a week, then a few times a month, then less. There have been substantive changes to the menu; we learned that the (husband and wife) cooking team was terminated, and the owner had taken over.
First, our noodles had no veggies depicted in the menu. We asked about it, and we were told they changed the recipe, and we could pay more to include broccoli and carrots. After discussing, they remade the dish with the veggies.
After receiving the orange chicken dish so overcooked and tough tonight, I asked to speak with the owner after I paid for the bill.
We were happy to see our usual waitress, who is very hardworking and attentive, had returned. She told us that he had changed the recipe, so sorry, but next time ask for the old way. I asked to speak to him directly. I just wanted to see if he understood that the dish had been cooked to the point of being hard like chicken jerky; flavor was a secondary issue, and the sauce was different. They were busy, so we just ate as much as we could, as it was late in the evening and we have kids. Just wanted to be on the same page because this is a restaurant we frequent.
His response was that I didn’t know what the dish was supposed to be like, and he could cook an orange chicken next time, like the general chicken. The old crew had the audacity to change his recipe, etc., etc. His business is going up now that he’s back, and no one complains. He owns many restaurants that are successful, and he knows what he’s talking about.
The only thing I could say was that it's not as good as it was before, and this time it was the worst I’ve ever had in decades. His answer is that people have differing tastes.
I received the answer I needed; things would not be improving. We will not be returning.
If you agree with me about this restaurant going from a 5 to a 2 or 3, like this post to let others know what to expect.
This place is now basically a take-out restaurant with the quality you can expect of mall food.
(Owner is extremely Gluten Free/allergy accommodating and a MASTER chef!)
We went here after church Easter Sunday (party of 15) and I can confidently say I have found our new Pho and Chinese food place! We are so excited!
The owner Richard is a master chef, no question. We got two large bowls of Pho and they were delicious. We also got Kung Pow Chicken made gluten free with gluten free fried rice and it was also incredible. It wasn’t just “gluten free incredible” it was the best fried rice and the best kung pow chicken I’ve ever had even prior to switching to gluten free 15yrs ago.
You can tell the owner loves his craft and puts passion into his dishes. He came out to the table multiple times to make sure everything was done correctly and explained processes, etc. It was awesome meeting him and I was honored to eat his food!
No question I will be back and plan to never go anywhere else for pho or Chinese food again, why would I? His was the best I’ve had!
His staff was also amazing and attentive, you could tell how kind and loving they all were making sure we were well taken care of!
I would highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for home made—from scratch, Chinese or Vietnamese food that is incredible and gluten free! Can’t wait to try all of my favorites that I haven’t had in over a decade!
