Sapporo Izakaya

Best chicken teriyaki! Good portion at a good price. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the veggies were delicious. If you love sashimi I recommend the beef sashimi. Our waitress was very nice. Good food and good service. I will definitely be back.

The service wasn’t the best. We had a toddler and everything was drawn out as long as possible. The server didn’t come back for 15 min after we got our food to see if everything was ok. Then she got a few tables and we never saw her again. Had to check out and get boxes from the front.

The sushi was great. The ramen was good except for the egg, usually they are sweet, salty, umami but these were just straight salt. Pasty salt. The salad had half an inch of water in the bottom of the bowl and the dressing was lacking. The chicken in the kids Japanese udon noodles was so dry, turned to dust in your mouth. We were the first people in after they opened so I can only assume they gave us chicken that was cooked the day before.

I’ll come back again for sushi but sadly everything else wasn’t worth a revisit.

Super cool 😎 Authentic Japanese restaurant. Nice modern atmosphere and the waiting staff is attentive. The only issue is the hours of operation. I wish Fridays that they were open longer. There is nothing more relaxing than working at a restaurant and getting off, having a bowl of udon with some sake. Just saying....otherwise 5 stars and above

Amazing food , awesome service. This restaurant will not disappoint. Our waiter was great very attentive to us. We never had to ask for refills and he provided great recommendations!!

I ordered takeout and when I got home someone had wrote on the bottom of the bag with a sharpy in big letters saying "NO TIP?" As if I'm suppose to give a bunch of losers standing around doing nothing a tip when I'm picking up my own food lol. Never eating here again...

Excellent

The inside of this place was really interesting, minus the stacks of boxes next to the bar near the front counter. The ambiance was nice. We ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box. Now, I'm familiar with sushi and I absolutely love it. The sushi was great. However, the chicken teriyaki was pretty abysmal. It was a very flat, dried out, overcooked piece of chicken with sauce on top. The sauce was more like a barbecue sauce instead of teriyaki. I was kind of disappointed with that. How are the rest of it was actually quite good and was presented really nice.

We live in the neighborhood and have been eating at Sapporo since they opened. I make an effort only to commend people for great service but I can't stop thinking about the horrible meal we had last night at Sapporo so I had to vent! We've always enjoyed the service and the food but last night were in the mood for something new and we all ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box. The teriyaki chicken itself was absolutely disgusting! The chicken was a very dried out, thin slice of chicken with something that resembled a bland, out of the bottle BBQ squeezed on top of it. Yuck! The sushi and Tempura veggies were yummy but the main entree was really really bad. We had out of town guests with us and were so embarrassed! No one ate their chicken. We said something to the waitress but she kinda ignored the comment. I feel better now that I have this off my chest! lol
