Shogun Reviews
The waiter was very attentive and the hibachi service was great.
Excellent lunch — just as good as we remembered!
My wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday, and it was a great experience. The restaurant was nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing meal. We’ve been coming here for years but hadn’t visited in over two years, so it was exciting to see that the food quality is still outstanding.

Shogun, a popular Japanese restaurant, offers a mixed experience across its various locations. While the service is generally fantastic, with staff being prompt and courteous, the quality of the food can vary. Some customers have enjoyed the Yakisoba, bento, and hibachi meals, while others have encountered issues like raw chicken, undercooked rice, and burnt vegetables, leading to food poisoning. The best Shogun location seems to be the one on Rayford, according to reviews. A recent group event highlighted attentive and friendly service, with a hibachi chef putting on a great show, and portions being huge, leaving plenty of leftovers. Customers appreciate the variety of options, as they can enjoy sushi while others choose teriyaki or bento. The chefs are known for their engaging performances and willingness to accommodate requests. Overall, Shogun provides a generally positive dining experience, with exceptional service and enjoyable food, though consistency across locations may be a concern. Parking is available in the rear of the building, but guests should be prepared to walk a bit.
