The waitressea were very polite. The food was raw. Wasn't cooked all the way and frozen in middle of hush puppies. Even brought me a second batch and they were same way. Had catfish and it was still pink.

I've been eating here since I was little (1980s era), as I have family nearby. I brought my kiddos for their first time, we had a ton of great handmade grub, and top notch service with a personal and historic touch. You absolutely cannot beat a good homestyle, sit down, chow down kinda joint. I will always be a Staghorn customer.

Nice place to eat. Salad bar is small but has a good selection. Menu and a variety of options from steaks to burgers. The steak was a 8/10 and the burgers are a 9/10 in my opinion. Waitresses are very sweet but tend to get lost having to work the register, cover salad bar, and tend to customers. You will need to sometimes get up and wave them down for them to come to the table. Restrooms and fairly clean but dim lighting. Parking lot is big and they have big doors if you have a wheel chair. I'd say this is the best restaurant in George West Texas, the other steak house food isn't as good. Prices are a little higher than what you'd expect to pay 15 to 25 per person.

Tried the lunch buffet and this place delivered the goods. I started off with a salad that was fresh and tasty. Next on the main section for the buffet was like a Salisbury steak, fried catfish, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, and tartar sauce. Everything on my plate was spot on. For dessert was a slice of cake that was a nice end to a delicious meal. I very much enjoyed dining here and highly recommend this restaurant.

Yummy! Chipotle Cranberry Tacos are absolutely delicious. I expected a spicy sauce but it was a delicious sweet cranberry sauce. Huge chunks of fish. My husband had the Chicken fingers in a nice light breading. A side of green beans was very tasty with bacon and tomatoes in it.
Employees were nice and friendly.

Small restaurant that serves up Huge flavor! First time but certainly will not be my last. Generous portions of absolutely delicious food. You can always tell when people care about what they do and then do it well…This place impressed me and i look forward to my next trip. FYI- i got the SOB with grilled onions and sauted mushrooms, rice and beans with a cup of salsa. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful dinner.
