“Brisket was a good mix of fatty and not, potato salad awesome, wish coleslaw was mayonnaise and not vinegar base. They served an awesome cornbread! Owner is very nice and hospitable. Definitely worth a stop if you're passing through.”
“Overall yummy food! I had the pork chop with eggs, beans, potatoes. All cooked perfectly. Hubby had steak and eggs, potatoes, beans and a barbacoa taco to go. I would just suggest to the cook to use little less salt on the pork chop. The tortillas are a little thicker than I like but still tasty, and they’re big; so if you get a taco you know it’s gonna’ be big! ?”
“We truly enjoyed our meal. The food was well cooked, savory and fresh. The atmosphere was pleasant and the entire restaurant was very clean. But the best part was the service. Our waitress Gioiris (forgive the spelling please) was super efficient, friendly and helpful. She was so concerned with our satisfaction and made us feel extremely welcome. If you are passing by the area like us or live there you need to give it a try.”
“Hands down best fresh salsa Ive ever had! Been to Mexico numerous times. This has the right amount of everything! They bring you chips and salsa to the table. Take your order. Then they bring you a bottle that squirts salsa out with your meal. My husband and I ate there for 12.00. I had a flour soft taco with al pastor and refried beans and he ordered a carne asada burrito. The meal was magnificent!!”
“Love the food here and the employees are always so friendly! I try to come in as much as possible, almost everyday. The donuts are so good and so are the breakfast sandwiches. I'd recommend this for a quick and delicious breakfast or lunch.”
“Ok I'm a regular, my friends are regulars. It's a must try, the maple bacon cupcakes! Keto cheesecake! Need I say more. The most moist cakes and the pies are great too! "Why bake when you can Piggy Cakes! "”
“The service is always fast...the staff is always super friendly and helpful and the food is always fresh and tastes great! We especially like the sweet tea and tacos at the DQ location.”
“Great little hole in the wall restaurant and gas station all riled into one near little package... The brisket is best yet! They even have a small dinner in area for you to sit down and eat.”
“The best sandwich. It's 6pm and I want a ham and egg Flatbread she made it and it was so good. Not to many subways want to make a breakfast sandwich at 6pm. Everyone at Subway was super friendly and ready to serve you. Thank you for a wonderful staff and because yall have everything in stock. ?”
“My favorite place to eat on the way to Nuevo Progress.Food is fresh and tasty. Portions are big and prices affordable. The place is clean and friendly. There is a full service bar and TV. The parking lot is big, even for rigs.Parking: It's a pretty big parking lot. Enough space on all three sides of the restaurant. Big rigs can park there.Kid-friendliness: I saw several families with kids dining there. The menu has many choices for kids.”
“Excellent place for a bit, when traveling! Service is a bit slow, but I’m ok with it. I’m never in a rush.Wheelchair accessibility: Good spaces for wheelchairs.”
“This particular location was out of turkey, which seemed strange, but I get it. It was a quick stop, good food, and employee seemed nice and knowledgeable. All in all, not bad.”
“Deserving of a recent 5-star review! Food was excellent - the chili gravy on the enchiladas is delicious! Homemade chips and yummy too! It gives small town, hole-in-the-wall vibes with the minimalist decor, but what it lacks in ambiance, it makes up for in delicious food & friendly service. Place has a lot of potential for gatherings, live music & dancing. Give it a visit if you're rolling through. You won't be disappointed!”

“I passed through town on my way to work and decided to stop by for a meal. The wings were pretty good, though they could have used a touch more seasoning. The pizza was top-notch, and the calzone was the highlight of the meal. I particularly enjoyed the way that they sliced it into cubes so you could enjoy small samples. Nice visit, but not a lot of dessert options”
“The wait staff was very friendly. They had the best table chips and salsa of most Tex-Mex places I've been to. The chips were not oily and they were more "poofy" giving them a satisfying crisp crunch. The salsa was not hot, but had a great flavor. There are bottles of hot sauce on the table if you need to spice it up. I ordered the Barbacoa Burrito for about $9 and enjoyed the flavor. I should have given it only 3 stars because of a bone chip that was the size of a long fingernail--but thicker, however the flavor made up for the flaws and I gave it 4 stars anyway. They have a large buffet option for $13.75, and I hope to try it someday when I am hungrier!Parking: Handycap parking available.Kid-friendliness: They had several options for the kid's menu.Wheelchair accessibility: The double-wide doors are not motorized, so someone will have to hold it. The path to the restroom looks like it is too narrow for the wide wheel chairs.”
“I got here in my Semi 15 minutes before closing. They still took my order and were polite. The thing is the tacos I bought were very good. Lots of flavor and plenty or cilantro and onion. Great food and a fair price I recommend eating here.”
“Best steak I have had in a while. They need to dust but other than that it was clean and enjoyable. If I wasn’t severely allergic to dust it would have had zero impact on my dining experience. Highly recommend if you’re near to stop in. We stopped here on our way back from Choke Canyon to Corpus Christi but I would make the drive just to enjoy another mesquite cooked steak!”
“Stopped in for a tea while visiting George West. I wasn't sure what I wanted is called in this shop but couldn't be more delighted with the recommendation I was offered! She mixed up the perfect drink based on the flavors I like and it is SO DELICIOUS!! ? I highly recommend and will definitely visit again next time I'm in the area!”
“Great service, great food, very clean, nice people !Me and my son were in GW for a few days hunting. Agave Jalisco was recommended by the attendant at our hotel so we ate there our first dinner. We ate out a total of four times while we were in GW and ate there all four times ! Two dinners and two breakfast. All were really good. I would recommend this restaurant.”
“We stop here as a family when traveling from central texas to south texas. Staff is friendly. A young man called out our order and I walked towards him to grab the tray. He then said I'll go ahead and set it down; I liked that. I perceived this as this young man wanting to do his job. We ordered two #8s 6pc.”
“The food is great , the service is what needs to be worked on , ordered a cheese burger and premium Hotdog, was given a Chili dog instead, was already at home so decided to keep it , so now I'll go back to only buying Bags of Ice. And the Custom shakes should be thicker.”
“I love this place. Owners very friendly n knowledgeable about everything. Got a lot stuff there snacks vapes lottery tickets bbq n a lot drinks.Even they got Lonestar skill machines n this place great vibes all times Chef Jay awesome.”
“The food was cook hot for us and taste amazing, just the wait was very long. It was 6:30 and they had to cook more chicken just for 8 pieces. But again, the chicken was delicious.Kid-friendliness: Small enough place to keep an eye on all your kids, well mannered staff so no cursing in the kitchen. And pretty clean and always a working bathroomParking: 25+Wheelchair accessibility: Clearly marked at both guest entrance doors.”
“The food, wait staff, and atmosphere are good! The fish tacos are fabulous! The Moe Burger is fabulous. Enchiladas, fabulous. And they have a buffet which I believe is daily. This is my 4th time there and I've never had a bad experience. This place is about a 30 minute drive, but worth it! You should try it!”
