I've been eating here since I was little (1980s era), as I have family nearby. I brought my kiddos for their first time, we had a ton of great handmade grub, and top notch service with a personal and historic touch. You absolutely cannot beat a good homestyle, sit down, chow down kinda joint. I will always be a Staghorn customer.
Nice place to eat. Salad bar is small but has a good selection. Menu and a variety of options from steaks to burgers. The steak was a 8/10 and the burgers are a 9/10 in my opinion. Waitresses are very sweet but tend to get lost having to work the register, cover salad bar, and tend to customers. You will need to sometimes get up and wave them down for them to come to the table. Tried the lunch buffet and this place delivered the goods. I started off with a salad that was fresh and tasty. Next on the main section for the buffet was like a Salisbury steak, fried catfish, mashed potatoes, green beans, roll, and tartar sauce. Everything on my plate was spot on. For dessert was a slice of cake that was a nice end to a delicious meal. I very much enjoyed dining here and highly recommend this restaurant.
