I wish they had baked potatoes and better sides. If you’re a girl dinner person like me, this is not the spot but if you’re here for the meat definitely visit Bexar!

We have eaten barbecue all across Texas and this was by far the most expensive and disappointing. Brisket was $30 per pound!! We ordered “lean” brisket versus “moist” and it was extremely dry and fatty: weird combination! There was no Smokey flavor or color ring. Sad but true. I don’t usually give bad reviews.
Excellent BBQ joint. Fave is their brisket burger but you'll need to ask for it as it's not on the menu. A bit more expensive but worth every penny.

OMG. This place deserves it's high rating. Everything is top quality including the meat and all the sides. Homemade everything including the pickles! This place is CLEARLY well managed and staffed. We went there for the first time in the middle of the afternoon. We had the brisket, potato salad, beans and vinegar Cole slaw. They have hot and cold potato salad and choice of different version of the sides. We also had the banana pudding' and that was even done right. Made to order, not sitting soggy in a bin all day. Fresh bananas and crispy 'Nilla wafers. I also really appreciate how clean and spotless the inside, outside and kitchen is maintained. I am taking my local Century 21 real estate office there for lunch very soon!

I've eaten here a number of times over the years and always really like the food. And it has consistently gotten better and better, which is awesome because it started at an a-level dining experience. I just tried the burger and, as a burger guy, I will say easily top five Burgers of my entire life. The barbecue sauce, the bun, the brisket on the burger and the hamburger itself was so incredibly tasty. Homemade house pickles on the side had a perfect amount of tanginess and seasoned to perfection with dill/vinegar/deliciousness... if you like burgers and or barbecue, RUN don't walk to get to Bexar and try the food here. Also shout out to the turkey here. Very flavorful, moist, and succulent. I didn't eat it today but it is totally an unsung hero. My kids can't get enough of it.
