A+ The food is delicious, it's a wow delicious. Menu prices are very affordable. My complaints would be that the white gravy was thin and tasteless. After adding three fake butters and salt and pepper, did it taste a little bit better. Also, real butter would be a plus. Lastly, the breads weren't anything to write home to. The rolls, okay and the cornbread had good density, but not too tasty. This is the first time I have ever rated cornbread as not up to par. Deserts are pretty good! Roomy aisles good for wheelchairs and walkers. Wait staff are crazy nice! They are great country folk. We will be coming back. Just be prepared to wait for a table. We went after the lunch crowd, but we still had to wait 15-20 minutes. And people were still coming in. This place is nonstop busy all day!

We are so happy we chose Mel's to cater at our wedding! Both Tammy and Jeff were so pleasant to work with and provided great recommendations during our tastings. We were so happy with how the food turned out for the wedding and have received tons of compliments from guests on how much they enjoyed the food. It is a delicious option for weddings and large events at a reasonable price!

This was our first trip, and it was so great that it won't be our last. We were served fresh baked cornbread and rolls. We ordered onion rings-they were huge and had the perfect amount of batter on them. , We also ordered Chicken Veracruz and Chicken-fried chicken and both were tender and delicious. We couldn't get enough of the fried okra and fresh corn sides😋 Our server Natalie was awesome! Shout out to the Grinch who was socializing with the guests, we liked that touch💚!

I recently visited with my 3 kids and while the food and service was great.I feel that an incident that happened while we were there could have been better handled by the managment.While we were eating the chair my son was in broke and he fell to the floor bumping the chair of an older women sitting behind him.While he was ok and concern was shown,it could have been worse.I felt at the very least we could have least been comped for our meal for the trouble.No offer was given and thats honestly a pretty bad way to make things right.I would have expected better from the establishment.
