Mel's catered for my wedding on 12/22/2023 and they were amazing! They were recommended to us by our wedding coordinators, who said they are always excited when their clients book Mel's - and their excitement was lived up to! We had an Italian food buffet from them with some pasta, chicken, salad, and roll options and it was all delicious, our guests loved our food. They also did little hourderve appetizers during cocktail hour, which we loved! Mel's was very easy and friendly to work with before hand, helping us figure out everything we needed from them, and they even were able to accommodate a few plates for dietary restrictions. Their event staff was very friendly. Overall, great experience!

Bride's Review (used Mel's as Wedding Caterer) -- Mel's was absolutely a dream to work with. From the beginning, they were kind and flexible. We went to their restaurant for a tasting, which was delicious, and the food served the night of the wedding was just as great. We had about 260 people and served buffet style. Mel's got everyone through the line faster than I ever thought possible. All of my guests were impressed not only with the quality of the food but with the service in serving and bussing. They also helped us cut and serve cake. We had the Chicken Veracruz, Pork Tenderloin and Dressing, Spring Salad, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Rolls - everything was delicious!!

I ate here several months ago. Food is typical cafe food and is average at best for the South. Service is okay. Wasn't real busy when I was there and the service was a bit slow. Atmosphere is aged. Restrooms are fair in cleanliness. Good selection of food items on the menu. Can't recommend this place at this time. It's closed and maybe they're updating the place. I'll go back again in the future and see if my visit was a fluke.
When I lived in Spring this was one of my very favorite restaurants. It's a local institution.Their burgers are great. The onion rings and fried mushrooms are the best I have had, and their Chicken Fried Steaks are the best in Texas..!!!

My friend said this is the best burger in town. It was above average for me. They did have have a really juicy burger and their cheese on the burger was amazing! But it didn’t have more flavor like I hope, especially since the burger was a bit more on the expensive side. It fall somewhere between a gourmet burger and like an in an out. But the staffs were all friendly and nice and overall good vibes

I had the Monte Cristo on fried mushrooms and they were good.I would recommend it. If I'm in the mood again I will return.I would recommend they have a permanent non-pork option for Monte Cristo.
