Only my 2nd time in this place today, a little after 4 on a Sunday.
The service has been better this time. Denver and Elle on deck.
The jukebox isn't loud enough.
Awesome bathroom!!! Clean, well-stocked.
Update November 2025:
3rd time in this place today, about 315 on a Tuesday afternoon.
Great happy hour prices on booze! Only $2.75 (before tax) for the Lone Star longneck, and the Jimador on sale for $3.
Melissa on deck today, and of the 5 or so bartenders I've encountered here, she's easily the best. Friendly, professional, kept herself busy...never had to wait long for a drink and she even turned the jukebox up a bit for me when I asked.
Great experience in here today that raises my review a star. Thanks ya'll!
Update 2026:
The second Wednesday of 2026 brings me back into SCP. I was on my way to Texas T to sing a little karaoke, but I remembered this place and how comfortable it is and decided to have a lowkey end to my night.
Denver took excellent care of me and didn't seem annoyed at my two glasses of soda water.
Five stars!

Ryan the bartender didn’t kick out the guy that was starting trouble at the bar because his “best friends” were with him. Four times we had to ask the guy to leave us alone and his “friends were marines”. Four times he came up to us and we asked him to leave us alone. Harassing place for women to visit when men won’t leave women alone, especially if they walked in with a man. After speaking with Ryan the bartenders he admitted that he didn’t kick him out because he was with his “best friends”. Highly recommend to don’t visit the establishment and also don’t recommended women who are single to visit the establishment unless they want to be harassed by “regulars” who are friends with the bartender. Also racially profiled by Ryan who mentioned, after I told him that he’d be receiving a 0 dollar tip on a $150 dollar tab after having to deal with harassment, that’s he’d he expected $0 dollars as a tip anyways. If you’re happy to be racially profiled and harassed by regulars please visit this establishment. Otherwise please stay away, the regulars don’t care if you walk in with a woman or not and the bartender Ryan will let it happen. 0/5 stars. I will call in the morning and speak with the owner. After speaking with the bartender the third time and providing proof that we were being harassed, he didn’t get kicked out, even though the bartender Ryan spoke with him and he walked up to us a fourth time. Please be careful unless you want to be harassed and have your friends kicked out for sticking up for the situation. This place is terrible.

This is my neighborhood place so I spend a fair amount of time here when I am home. Been a few new faces behind the bar over the last few months. I was running around getting some things done on a Sunday and figured i would stop and get some lunch and watch the end of my game. My game wasn't on no big deal, so ordered a drink and the menu. Just got nothing but attitude from the bartender. Asked if I could get the game changed and again nothing but attitude. She said not right now. Normally understandable. It's rarely busy here on Sundays and wasn't today. Texans played yesterday. I won't be treated as an inconvienice when I am trying to support my local watering hole.

Went on a Saturday night with a goup of 7. Food was great (fried pickles were fantastic) but chips/salsa the chips were burnt, drinks were good. There was only one server on the Saturday night of a 3 day weekend so service was slow. Didn't realize until we got home that we were still charged for the chips/salsa that was untouched and we sent back after only 2 chips were eaten and salsa was untouched but I should have checked before we left. $6 isnt a deal breaker but it was disappointing to see on the bill later... we will likely go back but will order directly from the bar and will check my receipt before paying for sure 🤦‍♀️
