best beef ribs I've ever had. big, tasty and so moist they fall off the bones
We’ve been staying at a hotel near this restaurant. Tonight we decided to see what the long lines were about. OMG the food was sooo good!! You don’t even need bbq sauce for the meats because it’s good on its own! We had the brisket, pulled pork, sausage, Mac n cheese and beans. It was the best bbq we’ve had here in Texas!! Glad we decided to give it a try. Will definitely do another take out order when we’re here again for baseball!!
Overpriced & Greasy Mess I ordered BBQ beans and brisket pinto beans got the same greasy slop twice. No brisket, no flavor, just oil. Menu and staff misleading. Way overpriced. Never again. 0Stars

The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque offers delicious food at great value, with daily specials that include complimentary desserts like ice cream, cobbler, and banana pudding. The friendly and energetic staff ensure a positive experience for all visitors. The menu features standout items like marble brisket, ribs, and burnt ends that are highly praised. Customers often mention that the meats are so flavorful they don't even need BBQ sauce. Popular dishes include brisket, pulled pork, and sausage, with many considering it the best BBQ in Texas. The mac and cheese is also highly recommended, described as unforgettable.
A highlight for many is the complimentary banana pudding, made from scratch with layers of pudding, cream, and bananas. Texas Twinkies, stuffed with brisket and cream cheese, wrapped in bacon, are also well-liked. The restaurant has a family-friendly atmosphere with a cozy decor and a clean, well-maintained space despite busy times. Parking can be busy, and there may be lines, but water is available for those waiting outside. Sides are served cafeteria style, with options like mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, broccoli salad, and green beans, all receiving positive reviews. While most meats impress, some find the sausage less spicy and prefer other places for that flavor. Overall, The Original Roy Hutchins Barbeque remains a must-visit for BBQ lovers seeking tasty food and a welcoming environment.
