This oasis in the wilds of northern Vancouver Island knows its customer base and provides well for their patrons.We visited part way through a week long trip to San Jo, and it was a most welcome treat. If you're an adventure motorcyclist, this is kind of a must-stop. The pub is owned by 12 ADV riders, it's really a hell of a long ways to go to enjoy this, and....it was worth it. (Holberg itself....not so much, lol!) Honestly, it's a very remote pub, supported by the Western Forest Products logging hub that is the "town", and hopefully the adv community will just continue to grow and develop the North Island 1000 route! We had such a great time at the Scarlet Ibis Pub and Adventure huts. Enjoyed a delicious chicken burger for dinner. Fast drinks and great laughs. Only thing we recommend is bring a small folding camp table for cooking or eating breakfast outside your hut.Parking: Lots of space
