If you haven’t tried Crane’s Craft BBQ at the wagon wheel in Tye…you’re missing out! We went about 2 weeks after they opened and were not impressed…after seeing very consistently good reviews the last several months we decided to give it another try today. So, we got the convertible out and took the long route for a nice drive with the top down and got there about 11:15. I got 1/2 pound sliced brisket and a Tx Twinkie and my husband got the 2 meat plate with brisket...
The food was AMAZING!! Not only that but everyone was super friendly the minute we walked in the door. The sausage is sooo good and so is the brisket. I can't wait to come back and try more. we highly recommend this place!
I'm a brisket snob, I'm picky. This chopped brisket, it's perfectly seasoned and smoked. There isn't too much smoke that it overpowers the other flavors. It's not dry and it's not too oily. It's tender enough that it will melt in your mouth but it's firm enough it holds together. It has a nice smoke ring on the brisket.
