Bernard is definitely one of the very few go-to places in East Texas for fine dining. A welcome treasure in an otherwise mostly foodie desert. Last night I had the Blackened Halibut Oscar with a Dow Cab and salad. Every bite was delish and even better with outdoor seating to enjoy a beautiful evening with cooler temps. Service was great and the owner was around all evening. Highly recommended.
What a hidden gem to anyone not from Tyler! The food was truly fantastic, service was very attentive, and having Bernard speak with us several times made it an unforgettable experience! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!
We went to Bernard's for the first time last night for our anniversary. The service was great. Our server was attentive, and had a mastery of the menu, specials, and wine list. She also made fantastic martinis. The food was brilliant. We can't wait to go back.
