We got detoured on a work trip, and ended up pulling over here to grab some lunch.

The smoked turkey, ah the smoked turkey… the ribs were quite good, the brisket was average (mind you, average to me would be excellent to most. I have very high standards for brisket.), but that smoked turkey was veritable ambrosia. It was so succulent and juicy, smokey goodness perfected

Truck parking with good BBQ and pie slices. Truly a bodacious place that attracts random drivers from I-20. I live nearby and sometimes drive over for lunch.

Baked potato was cold wouldn’t even melt butter. It looked gray; like it was baked yesterday and the ends were black. The chopped brisket was almost warm. They did offer to replace my meal. They didn’t have a microwave to warm the potato and melt the butter. I left hungry and won’t be back! The nice lady did refund my money. My husbands chopped pork dinner was lukewarm at 3:00 in the afternoon and that was their last serving of pork.If your going west go to Solomons barbecue by the Loves at Van. BBQ there is much better!!

2 person staff. 5 star treatment. Exactly what you'd expect from East Texas. Buttermilk pecan pie? Might as well be kryptonite from krypton. Thanks y'all.

The ribs, links, and chopped beef are all delicious. My family and I always stop here when we're on the road. The staff is very friendly

Buddy and I had 2 chopped beef sandwiches, 3 sides and 2 teas which cost $40. Much better and less expensive barbecue and sides are available in area so I will not be going back to Bodacious.

First and only visit to this place. Brisket today was on point for taste, it was a bit dry. Tater salad was HORRIBLE. Taste like it's got a chemical in it. Nothing like I've ever had before. They were out of everything. Only had 1 link left and Brisket at the time of ordering. No fries, like who doesn't have fries? On a good note, The decor in very old school, dollar bills EVERYWHERE!! My daughter thought it was cool.
I was born and raised in East Texas, but during my travels around the US and abroad, there's NO BBQ like Bodacious! PERIODT! So it's safe to say that Bodacious has THE BEST BBQ on the planet! True Story.

The flavor of my ribs and brisket were outstanding, but they both lacked the basic of barbecue - tenderness. I had to gnaw through my sliced brisket so as to not pull the full slice off the sandwich, and I had to nibble and chew the meat from the rib bones. Like I said, it has awesome flavor which is why I purchased two bags of brisket rub and one BBQ seasoning bag. Wish me luck when I compete at the Great Lenexa BBQ Battle later this week!
