The very best Gumbo, Red beans, and the tenderest Catfish I've ever had.

Best catfish in town. Great service, friendly place.

Despite the restaurant being small in size, it is the best place to get authentic Cajun food! For those who grew up in the Louisiana area, it's a good reminder of home. And it is definitely a great place to have lunch.

I've always enjoyed eating here but today the staff was so rude. They didn't even bring my food to me they just yelled here's you food. They acted like it was an inconvenience to serve me. I won't be back. I've spent to much money here to be treated like this. Took over 30 minutes to get food. Bad service today, cook very rude.

Not a place I would have stopped if I hadn't had a friend insisting we go there for lunch. It doesn't look like much from the outside, hell it doesn't look like much from the inside, but hot dog the food is good! Our waitress was very nice and speedy to boot! We got in and out in under 30 minutes. Would definitely go back to try more of the good!

We both had the gumbo and fried catfish today for lunch. WOW, it was so good. The gumbo is meaty and flavorful, and everything in it is just right. The catfish was melt in your mouth, like I haven't had since we stopped in Jackson, MS a few years back and found an out of the way local place to hide out from a big windstorm blowing through the state. The place isn't fancy, but it is comfortable, great tea, good coffee, pleasant staff, nice and clean, good parking. I'd rather have all that Bud Jones Bayou does right than a fancy dining room any day! We'll be back for oyster po boys on Wednesday.

Pretty good place to eat! Some of the best tasting shrimp in the Tyler area.
