Definitely a NEW FAVORITE PLACE TO EAT! The food is amazing! I got the island trio, with jerk chicken, curry goat, oxtails, red beans and rice mix! Everything was cooked to perfection! All the meat was tender and seasoned to perfection! The rice was on point! And the plantains are to die for! AND THE RUM CAKE MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH!!!! This restaurant is a 20/20! I’ll definitely be back!

Me and my family drove 2 hours from rockwall to try the food. The hours said it was open on Sunday but when we arrived it was closed. The hours should really be updated as we wasted a 2 hour drive just to find out it was closed. Very dissatisfied.

First of all the inside atmosphere could be spruced up a bit. Past that, we actually found out about this place from a coupon book that touted $10 off $20 for lunch or $15 off of a $30 for dinner. I would not have known about Caribbean kitchen otherwise. The food was pretty good- the Curry chicken is in true Caribbean style with yummy spices and chicken with bones in a bowl with broth, the Jerk chicken same presentation. Fried plantains were ok. The chicken my son had was more traditional, grilled with onions. Limited sides- red rice with kidney beans, red rice with pigeon peas, or white rice. There was a side salad with each. The waitress was nice and pleasant enough. My issue is that the coupon was not honored, with the waitress informing us that "the owner has already reached out to the coupon book manufacturer and it was a 'misprint' ". (So what is the correct coupon suppost to say if this is a misprint?) While I understand this happens, we asked if there might be any other type of discount for the mistake, which she promptly said no, unless we were military. Good business practice would extend a good faith gesture such as a small percentage off or even a free dessert. Our bill was $50 for 3 persons. The owner did not care enough to come out to speak to us. Not very professional. Likely won't be back. If they will not honor the coupon, then at least place a sign on the door to explain this.

The food, delicious & authentic! I was suprised it was even an option in this city. They have a good variety of options from the islands. I really like the tropical vibe they offer & it was really nice to.see they even have a bar/lounge side with plenty of rum! I also got the rum cake which was also delicious & not to strong or heavy on the rum or sugar. Looking forward to visiting again & trying more items. They are very laid back & easy going!

OMG, what can I say other than my experience was absolutely AMAZING!! The food (Ox tails, red rice and beans, and salad) was hot and fresh. The portions were more than enough! I didn't have room for dessert lol. The waitress was nice, friendly and efficient and very courteous! Oan, the atmosphere was very welcoming and free. Nice and clean! I highly recommend and will definitely be going back!
