I absolutely love coming to eat here, I've been visiting since I was a kid. IMO I think it's the best Mexican food I've had in east Texas compared to everywhere else I have tried.
What a festive atmosphere! So many apps, entrees and desserts to choose from. The server was friendly and efficient, and such a beautiful smile. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit, especially when at the hostess stand, to learn that she (hostess) was the daughter of Don Juan himself! Nothing satisfies my experience and cravings for authentic Mexican cuisine more than this traditional family owned and operated restaurant. Thank you Don Juan and family!

Okay, so I hit up Don Juan Mexican Restaurant in Tyler, and honestly, I was really impressed. The fajitas? Seriously good. Like, really good. The meat was tender, seasoned perfectly, and you could tell it was cooked right. But the real MVPs were the chips and salsa. Forget those bland, bagged chips you get at some places.
