This is the second time I have gone to Jimmy's Egg. My first experience was not a great one as we decided to go for breakfast on the weekend. This time my s/o and I went for brunch on a Wednesday. The place was less than 50% full which means they were not at all rushed. Our waitress was friendly and competent. Once my coffee cup was empty she was there to fill it up rather quickly. This time around I opted for country fried steak and eggs with hash browns and a side of three pancakes. I really can't remember if these were 'side order pancakes' which I believe are smaller than the regular or if it was an option with the meal. The chicken fried steak was pretty good tasting and was cooked perfectly. The eggs were done well as we're the pancakes and hash browns. Really liked the pancakes. Coffee was also a decent tasting brand. All in all on a weekday I will go back for brunch again as my S/O likes this restaurant and I can handle a half filled restaurant vs the weekend insanity. This is an odd way of saying this: I would not be opposed to recommending this restaurant.

While in Tyler we tried a couple of breakfast locations. This was by far our favorite. I got the Cowboy Skillet and my wife got the Pineapple Pancakes. We went there 3 separate times and ordered the same thing! Delicious food and grade A service.

The food was phenomenal , I had the biscuits gone wild plus a mini stack because I'm a fatty. I think the pancakes were the best i've ever had. Definitely Coming back don't think twice about coming here

We came in on a Sunday (so keep that in mind) and people who came after us not only GOT their food, they had time to FINISH and pay 20 minutes before we even got our food.
When I spoke to the waitress (twice) she didn't seem overly concerned at all and said it was because of what we ordered (chicken and waffles/ egg/ bacon and french toast) Seriously??
Apparently she said the manger took 35% off of our bill. While I appreciate that, I would've appreciated the manager coming by themselves to touch base with us.
I've worked in the restaurant business and anytime a customer has an issue, the manger should, at the very least, swing by to check in.
My MAIN issues are these:
1) Everyone else in her station was served in an appropriate time frame.
2) Everyone else who came well after us came and went before we even RECEIVED our meals.
3) Our served blamed the delay (of over an hour) on what WE ordered and was not apologetic until my husband became irritated the SECOND time we talked to her.
4) Management never swung by to check in on our complaint.
5) After all of this, all the staff avoided us like the plague. Good luck getting any coffee refills or water refills after that. Mind you were were trying to be courteous and we're not making a scene at any point and time.
We will give them another try maybe in a few months and not on a weekend but the fact that everyone was taken care of except us made us very uncomfortable and, to be honest, pretty pissed off.
Be warned.
Update: Never going back. I get a bad taste in my mouth every time I drive by this place.
