Loved the food and the service. The gumbo is very good and so is the flourless chocolate cake. I want to praise the service from the gentleman who works there. Very kind and helpful.

Absolutely love it! I’m gluten free, so having truly tasty gluten free cookies and cakes is amazing! Love when the servers have high happy energy and take the time to help you choose.

My friend surprised me with cupcakes from Laurel & Pearl Bakery for my birthday, and I was honestly blown away. These were some of the prettiest desserts I’ve ever seen, so delicate, detailed, and beautifully decorated. And they tasted even better than they looked! Every flavor was rich, fresh, and perfectly balanced. Absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend Laurel & Pearl for any special occasion.

Best cronuts I’ve had in my life! I’ve been to France and can attest to the craftsmanship of these baked goods. I love bringing my family here and highly recommend for sure.
Quality espresso as well.

Going into Laurel & Pearl was such a sweet surprise, no pun intended. The atmosphere was so cool, the staff was helpful and we met the owner who was super welcoming. We ordered the chicken salad and crackers plate, perfect for a light snack. We initially went in lured by gluten free cakes. The Spanish Almond cake was light, flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend.

Really great food. I walked in not knowing what I wanted and the staff was able to help me pick something excellent

Journey Buchinski

We were getting judged because of what we’re wearing and how we looked also the food was not not that good for the price.

East Texas still after all these years no progression! If you are a white person coming into this place, you’ll do just fine, but if you are a black person coming into here, be ready for the stares and to be ignored a bit … You tell us to stop bringing up race But I walked in and was ignored by the the white girl working But because I am strong minded, a strong black person. I’m going to always keep my composure unless you say something rude to me… I know everyone isn’t like that because the other white girl that came from the back was very nice and welcoming.. But I can tell the other girl felt very uncomfortable by my presence isn’t that interesting? How just your skin color alone can make a whole room fill out a place lol I know it’s not about me. It’s about them and how they feel inside. The two ladies in the front even ask her if you want to get someone else while we can still look it’s OK she looked at them and said no it’s fine and walked over there where they were at still ignoring me.lol I still didn’t say anything… I would eventually Have left, but the other girl came out and was nice.. Meanwhile, the other girl stood there with a disgusted look on her face And it was like she felt some type of way that the other girl helped me lol I bet you the same people will say they are Christian😬 I won’t hold everybody there accountable for her mistakes, but the point is people like that should not be working in places at least not in the front and quite honestly I wouldn’t trust her fixing my food in the back. Maybe after they see this review, they will treat the next black person better Maybe not

Very organized and professional. If you like French pastries, you should enjoy this establishment. My wife really liked the aesthetic.

Laurel & Pearl in Tyler, TX is a true gem tucked inside a shopping center with a high-end vibe. The space itself is small but beautifully curated—whimsical wall art, cake stands displayed along the back wall, and an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled on something special.

The food? Absolutely unforgettable. Every bite tastes like it was created with love and care—flavors so good you’ll find yourself thinking about them long after it’s over. It’s the kind of food that lingers in your memory, the kind you dream about.

We actually drove in from Dallas based solely on TikTok buzz, and it was worth every mile. Not a shred of disappointment—only delight. Meeting the owner was an added bonus: She was warm, engaging, and genuinely thrilled to hear we enjoyed our experience. Their joy at going viral is well-deserved, and their passion shines through in every detail.

Laurel & Pearl is more than a place to eat—it’s an experience. Worth every penny, every bite, and every trip. If you’re anywhere near East Texas, do yourself a favor and go.

This is such a lovely place to go for a girl's breakfast/brunch. The specialty items they have on hand make even a ordinary day feel special. They also have items that they will make when ordered. Definitely a place to check out!
