They have completely remodeled the entire restaurant and it looks amazing! Food is excellent - nothing changed there except the prices went up so it’s now a little pricier than it used to be. Great service!

We live in Tyler and have not been to Mercado’s for over 8 years so we felt a return was in order. I have not regretted a dinner venue choice more!
We visited late afternoon, around 4:30 on Friday, so things were very quiet. This still didn’t change the service, no one came to our table for 15mins. I caught the attention of what i believe was a manager, who advised someone would attend us shortly. 5 mins go by & another individual arrives to take our drinks order. I believe he was new as his knowledge and abilities seemed limited! Then another 15 min wait, the chips and salsa arrive (note this is called complimentary but they charge you for it?)
This was the only item that was close to acceptable in the whole meal.
I ordered Street Taco’s, most definitely a poor choice, the Al Pastor taco had 7 very small pieces (1/4 inch sq) and the Chicken and Carnitas were not much better. The flavor profiles were amateur at best, poorly seasoned and lacking any depth. The black beans were Ok but again no identity, just beans in a watery broth with an onion smattering. The Lime rice was like eating
Cold cardboard! My wife chose the chilli releno, it was a tiny poblano with little to no batter that was burnt! accompanied with a small empty enchilada and refried beans.
This food was probably the worst food I have eaten in a “Mexican / TexMex restaurant in my entire life. I have eaten Latin food on many continents. Visit at your own peril.
NEVER AGAIN

Went on a Sunday afternoon and they were not busy at all. Concierge told us it would be a minute. Well it turned into twenty of them to seat 6 of us. There were more than plenty of visible empty tables but they were trying to keep all patrons confined to one small section. Table we got was too small for 6 people and I felt I was trying to eat on the corner with my plate half hanging off it while trying not to elbow one of my sons in the ribs. Food was mediocre. Waitress was attentive. Maybe it was not typical of what usual visits would be like but it might be awhile before I give them another try. Too many other choices for Mexican food in town to go to.

Did a call in order, poor young lady was running around like wonder woman while two others sat to the side. While I was waiting on a condiment one of the young ladies decided to go and help Wonder Woman . Provides me my condiments but when I asked for my chips she checking bag as if I was lying. Now I paid for my food and steal or even try to get over is not on my character. So yea . To look as if I'm lying about my food missing was went know . I don't need to spend another dime at this establishment

A+ Mexican food place right here. The tortilla soup is awesome and you can get it as a side instead of just a la carte like most places. Don't forget to ask for the free tortillas either. They are homemade and hit the spot. The salsa is also really good and chips are fresh thin and crispy. When I want good Tex Mex in Tyler I always hit up this spot!

Absolutely the best cheese enchiladas.
Food was great, but the best part was our waiter. He was attentive, fast, and personable. Great all around experience to top off a nice Thanksgiving weekend with family!
Just had lunch with my parents at Mercado’s in Tyler. Our server was Melinda, excellent service and attention to detail. Very kind and fabulous food! I can drink their salsa as sustenance.
