Food was not that good I had the pork chop plate it was dry and not seasoned well I had cabbage and it was very bland no flavor whatsoever the two things that was good was the beans and the jalapeño corn bread I also had dessert sweet potato pis and German chocolate cake they were good but I personally feel the portion size is in the small side Would I go back maybe to try something else I would like to see some homemade Salisbury steak,maybe some whole baked sweet potatoes some sauced squash

Best soul food restaurant in ALL of East Tx!!!!!!! Great down home service that makes you feel at home and welcome. Everything on the menu was absolutely mouth watering 😋 I ordered Smothered Pork Chops with Rice,Cabbage & Gravy and a side of sweet cornbread with a big cup of Grape Kool-Aid. The staff is full of kind and beautiful women that tend to you in a fashion that a person can only find at home!!

I go about once a week to Get some down home soul food. The food is always great the staff I nice and friendly . They are dedicated to making sure you enjoy your meal. If you love soul food you gotta check em out. But you gotta get there early because they are usually there for brunch lunch an early dinner.
