Ruby's Mexican Restaurant #3

We went into this restaurant to order a bowl of pozole I wanted red and my husband wanted green , the young man at the register said they didn’t have the red so we ordered two bowls of green. Then I asked for a small cup of red enchilada sauce to add to my posole it sent the whole restaurant into a complete meltdown, they didn’t know what to do or how to do it on top of that. The posole for two bowls was $30. We didn’t eat there and we left. Not going back again

The service was okay. It was crowed and they had the back section closed off. The food made my wife sick 15 min after she ate it. We ended up leaving early because of it. We took the food home not realizing that's what made her sick and the next day I ate it and got sick right after eating it as well.

If you're a cheese lover they got you covered, there meat quality is superb. their hot sauce is a little on the spicy side, but just perfect if you're into that, discovered them as a food truck, found their main restaurant it has a larger menu which is awesome

Freaking awesome!!!

The seating was kind of awkward. Almost all of the female staff were RUDE to my wife and I. They were young, so I’m not expecting amazing customer service, but they acted like we were stupid for not knowing the menu even though we told them it’s our first time. The food was decent but extremely overpriced and not worth the money. We got Tres Leches to finish it off and it was the WORST Tres Leches we’ve even had in our lives. It almost tasted like detergent. Won’t be back. There’s much better options in Tyler.

The restaurant is very clean. It being my first time there it was a bit confusing placing an order and getting my drink. They offer a very nice variety of drink options. The salsa with the chips was nice, the red was very watery and really wouldn't adhere to a chip. The green was a nice consistency and flavor... BUT, the salsas on the table are spot on! Both were a perfect consistency and both has remarkable flavor!

I ordered the #1, birria tacos, 2 on corn and 2 on flour, and a corn in a cup.

The tacos had wonderful flavor as did the consolé. The corn tortillas were hard and chewy, the flour tortillas were perfect.

The corn in a cup was wonderful also, and I couldn't finish it, so a waiter asked if I wanted to take it, I wanted to. He offered to add more cheese to it, which I thought spoke volumes about customer service.

Drink refills are $2, but worth it. I had dragon fruit, and it had actual dragon fruit in it!!

I recommend giving Ruby's a try, with birria tacos, I found flour tortillas preferable.

Food was great, reasonably priced, it was just the service that was lacking a bit.

Always ate at the food trucks but this was my first time at her restaurant. The food was bomb as always. My wife and I both felt like the hostess/server was acting like we were a burden to her the whole time though. The restaurant is really neat and looks cool on the inside.

We Love Ruby's, the food the environment and the Agua frescas are to die for! The employees are always nice and the establishment is clean!

Ruby’s is one of my top favorites for sure! Love all the food and service is good! Also has the best agua frescas, I love the dragon fruit one! Would definitely recommend!
