Getting the BBQ sauce out of the bottle was a struggle with those funky lids but the food is great

Looks like the Rudy's in Austin but the brisket was too greasy and there was no prime rib on the menu.

My first time visiting this establishment I was offered samples to help choose from their menu. Staff were very helpful and patient Price was good for the freshness and quality of their meat. Meats are ordered by the pound except for sausages they are per the piece . Alcoholic beverages are sold here too. I arrived on a weekday for lunch and there was plenty of seating and restaurant was very clean. Family friendly location and spacious for large group. TVs throughout the dinning area which makes your visit more enjoyable. I ordered the 1lb moist brisket and it melted right away in my mouth,it was delicious!. The turkey meat was also my favorite(very juicy and Smoked perfectly ) . My least favorite was the ribs, they needed more flavor and a bit dry for my preference. The potatoes salad was a bit watery but had a nice taste to it (not overly tangy, just right) . Overall my meal was very tasty and affordable, if you are driving through Tyler TX this is a good quick pit stop for some good food from good people !

Kids had a blast!!! We loved the setup!Kid-friendliness: The kids really loved the "indoor" backyard bbq!
Casual atmosphere, good prices, excellent food. Needed someplace quick to stop on the loop in Tyler. Employees were very friendly. It was my first time eating at Rudy's. Nothing fancy, but hey, it's BBQ. All you need is for the food to taste good, and it was. I had the turkey sandwich with potato salad and coleslaw for sides. My boyfriend had the brisket baked potato and beans. I tried his. Enjoyed everything I tried. Stanley's is still my favorite but Rudy's is a good second option when we're in Tyler.Dietary restrictions: Be careful. The pulled pork has dairy in it. Glad I checked the online menu before ordering. Check the online nutritional chart if you have restrictions.
