Every time I come through Tyler I grab my high school friend and we goto Shoguns. It's consistent, it's delicious, and there is always a show. It's changed location over the decades, but it's managed to keep it's quality. We get f'd up on saki, sushi, steak, and conversation with strangers. There is one shortcoming:When you ask for a rare steak, they give you a medium steak. Every time. What's the secret bribe or message to get a real rare steak?

I go to shoguns at least once a year for celebrating. Each year the food seems to lose more flavor.

We have been coming to Shogun for a few years now, Chef Evan makes the best rice I’ve had! They will actually cook the food how you like it, unlike some hibachi’s that won’t cook with certain sauces on the grill!

Everybody knows they are hands down the best hibachi in Tyler. They also have incredible sushi!Little secret - if you're hungry for hibachi and don't want to wait - snag a table or barstool in the bar and order the hibachi off the menu. The cooks in the back are extremely fast and in my opinion it is usually JUST slightly better tasting than the performance hibachi

A fun place to go for a great experience with the meal. Food is always good and the staff are accommodating. The only downsides are parking can be hard to find and the wait can sometimes be long even with reservations.Parking: Limited spaces in their lot. May need to find close lots and walk.Wheelchair accessibility: Single floor with no issues. Spacing is accommodating for those who need the extra room to maneuver.

The food was very good here. We chose not to sit at the hibachi area since it had an hour-long wait. The room temperature was extremely cold. We ate with our winter coats on and still were not warm enough. We later saw the thermostat was set at 65 degrees but my guess is the room temperature was even less than that. Our table for two was 8 inches away from the adjacent table for two. We felt like we were having dinner with two strangers, trying not to eavesdrop. Most of my reviews are five-star reviews, but this is not one of them.

A fave of my husband's. Food is always good, and service is typically good as well. Employment issues have affected Shogun as the chefs used to be Asian, now they are Mexican!
