Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue

Stanley’s is very good barbecue and slots in to the top tier of BBQ joints. The brisket was juicy and flavorful. The baby back ribs had the right combination of smokiness and a hint of sweet. The queue to place your order moved at a snail’s pace, especially when compared to some of the well oiled machines in Dallas that have it down to a science. There are plenty of seating options to satisfy whatever vibe you’re feeling. Stanley’s is a must visit whenever you’re in Tyler.

I can't believe they charge $10.99 for a chicken sandwich with no side. You extra if you would like a side. The seating is outdoors unless you want to go to the bat. First and last time I will eat here.

The best barbecue in East texas bar none. Great live music ? get the x wife sandwich ? half pulled pork, half sliced brisket ?

Had to try Stanley's while in Tyler, TX. Ordered the Brother-In-Law Deluxe Sandwich, my lunch partner ordered the Mother-Clucker Sandwich. I was not a fan of mine. The brisket tasted good, but the hot link was bland. The combination of the 2 on a sandwich made for a tasteless mush. I would stick to ordering just meats and sides in the future.

Very cool venue, outdoor dining, even when hot outside, is all covered and comfortable. We went on a Friday at lunch and it was packed...for good reason! The food is great, there's not service since you order at the register, but they do bring food to you and the staff was all very friendly.

Parking: Being a little tough to get into, the food is worth the hassle!

This is a great place to eat with some really awesome barbecue. This location is mostly accessible friendly and has a few areas that are not but to do its older construction they did the best they could. Restrooms and facilities are accessible friendly and maintained fairly clean. The parking lots and surrounding parking leave a little bit to be desired but are not too terrible to navigate and did have a spot when I arrived. Cleanliness was great and the facility was fairly well cleaned. People were getting to the tables and cleaning them as soon as people got up. The food was amazing and the quality was great. True Texas barbecue. The staff was friendly and nothing but helpful. This place is a great place to get some great barbecue and and even better atmosphere. The live music is amazing and was a very nice highlight to dinner.

Visitor from out of town, was highly recommended by some neighborly folks. Was craving ribs and brisket. The brisket was excellent the ribs were tender and meaty but the sauce/rub was heavy and really sweet. Fun place though very hospitable.

We ordered chips and queso and 4 tacos. The tacos came first and were devoured and them we waited and waited for the chips and queso.

In hind sight we would not have ordered the chips and queso. Chips were over done and the queso was mediocre.

Ranking tacos from favorite to won't order as a taco...brisket man amazing! Chicken was a little spicy but great flavor. Pulled pork should be a sandwich with sauce. Just didn't do anything for us.
