Great time as always! We’ll keep coming back! Our waitress (Melissa) kept the coffee flowing.
I was hesitant to write this review because my wife likes it here, but even she couldn't deny that our experience this last time and honestly MY final time. Her food plate came out with full-on lipstick on the edge, like someone used it like women do with napkins to make it look right on their lips. She let the waitress know, which she seemed to either be new or very overwhelmed, but honestly, she gave off a being annoyed that we brought it up vibe. She took it back but in my opinion, 1. they obviously didn't remake it since she came back 2 minutes later and 2. All she did was wipe the lipstick off since the food didn't even look disturbed. Apart from that, my kids' chicken tenders were greasy and flavorless, and the fried coating just fell off, leaving a bare and again flavorless chicken tender.

Got the crab cake eggs Benedict one with the hollandaise sauce and the other one with the etoufee sauce. Both were awesome but the etoufee sauce had a kick, if you like that sort of thing. Also, got the fried green tomatoes. Very yummy. Waitress was awesome.

First time here ~ Katie, our waitress & Amanda, the manager were both very friendly. There was a little wait for our table which seemed weird because it really wasn’t busy.
We ordered our food & it took quite a while to get it ~ at least 30 minutes or more. The green tomatoes were so yummy!! The chopped steak was good too but the gravy was SO salty. The green beans didn’t have a lot of flavor. The sweet tea was really good too ~ a TX must!
Parking it a little tight to get into; We would probably go back but make sure we could have a long lunch.

Sorry, but the gravy was just way too sweet to be gravy for the biscuits and gravy. The vegetable omellete had too many mushrooms, which dominated the dish. But most unfortunate was that no one came around to offer a refill for my coffee. At 7 a.m. on a Monday morning, that just doesn't work. Staff seemed friendly, though. Not sure how this restaurant got so many high ratings.

The Diner is one of our frequent stops. The service and food are always both top-notch. They also have very fair pricing for meals, which is rare these days.

Need to invest some money into the business. Table was falling apart. Food was only fair. Eggs were greasy. Crispy hash Browns were a little too crispy. I've had better there in the past.

The food and the service were excellent, as always. We know The Diner closes at 2:00, so we made sure that we lined up our shopping route to get there in plenty time for lunch.

Went there today and ordered a waffle, a side of bacon, and a side of scrambled eggs. My waffle came out and I could immediately tell it was burnt, NOT “thick and fluffy” like the menu advertised. I tried to tear off a piece, but it was so crunchy that it just crumbled like a cracker. Since it wasn’t busy at all in there, I politely asked our server if the kitchen could fix it and she said yes. A minute later, she brings out a waffle that looks EXACTLY the same and even tells me that this one is still very dark. She gave it to me anyway and I decided to just not eat it because I did not want a burnt waffle. She brings my check and it’s $18…… for a burnt waffle that I wasn’t even able to eat. So after tip, I ended up paying over $20 for TWO pieces of crunchy bacon and some scrambled eggs for my son. I know how the restaurant industry is, but that’s still so ridiculous to me. I wouldn’t have had a problem paying my that if I had received an edible waffle. I also would’ve asked to speak to the manager about it if my 10 month old hadn’t started to get upset. Do better!! I personally won’t be spending any more money there.
Coffee was cold and terrible, tortilla soup came out as a paste not a soup. they didn't give me enough dressing for the Caesar salad. asked Waitress for a to go box. She brings me one big giant one knowing I'm gonna need two separate bowl containers. I had to go get Waitress to ask for my ticket. Found her in a booth eating. It took 20 minutes for Waitress to even take my, order there most the time waiting very disappointed in my visit today. Will tell family members about my experience here today.

My wife and I eat breakfast with her sister and brother in law every Saturday morning. In the last 4 years we have eaten at a hundred different places. This is among our favorites!!

Stopped by for a take out order as I'm helping a senior neighbor who is hospitalized and it's a 54 mile round trip from home to Tyler.
On a friends recommendation I tried it out for breakfast. OMGravy amazing!
From the service on the order and suggestions, first time, to the speed of order, the food, perfect on each item.
I should mention that I owned a diner for 40 years and I could not have done better, and rarely am I impressed but I truly am! Thanks to The Diner and staff for making my day and breakfast a little brighter!!!
Go try them out!!!
