First visit here. I dont like to leave negative reviews on a first visit to avoid flukes and the like. I wouldn't say 3 stars is bad. But for you first-timers, the menu is at the door and you can use an in-store kiosk to order. Also, a lot of their items are puns, which gives me anxiety.

I went to the Tyler, TX location for the first time on 11/26/25. I would like to leave some really good feedback for Charlene who took my order at the front register. When I told her it was my first time at Torchy's she welcomed me, took my order and then brought me a complimentary small bowl of your famous green chili queso and fresh chips before my food came out. She checked on me several times to make sure I liked the food and I so appreciate that from her. On the flip...

We and others had to place our order ourselves on the computer and it took everyone longer than it should. No employee around helped anyone nor did they apologize for their system being down. (I heard one employee tell that to another.) One employee at the cash register answered the phone but didn't greet customers. Our queso came out AFTER our tacos.
