Tucked away and not much to look at on the outside...do yourself a favor and head in! Interior is clean and appropriately themed. The experience begins with the staff. Genuinely good people who obviously love what they do. Trusted their recommendations on what to order and I was wow'd! Food quality, taste, smell and texture was superb. I loved the spicy pork! I cannot wait to return. Thank you all for a wonderful experience and a great meal!

Just went there a little before 3, they close at 3 so we were worried we would be too late but we were welcomed super warmly! They answered all my questions and were super fast with service. I got the spicy ahi poke and it was super delicious! Will definitely be going back!

Supporting small family owned businesses is one of my favorite things to do, and Big Aloha's Ali'i Cove absolutely delivered! We recently used their catering menu for a special gathering, and from start to finish, the customer service was phenomenal. They even worked with our Sunday event date to make everything happen. The food was fresh, authentic, and delicious so much so the teri beef, fried noodles, mochiko chicken, mac salad, and cupcakes disappeared fast. Unfortunately, the only pictures I managed to take were of the cupcakes because everyone was too busy enjoying the food. That's probably the best compliment a caterer can receive! If you're looking to add something different, flavorful, and authentic to your table, I highly recommend giving them a try. It's always rewarding to support a local family business that takes such pride in what they do. You'll find them right here in Universal City off Pat Booker Road. Got 1 plate Kalbi 1 plate chicken katsu, food is made fresh to order, taste just like home back in Hi. Highly recommended to all our ohana and friends who visit San Antonio. My parents always order a plate for their flight home to Hilo.

Had this today for lunch, great vibes as soon as you walk in. Super friendly as well. Had the spicy chicken katsu, big portion, wasn’t very spicy imo but great overall. Will for sure come back to try some of the other great looking dishes.

If you’re looking for the best value for your dollar, this is it. I had the two-meat combo with Spicy Pork and Teri Beef—both were delicious, but the Teri Beef is a standout! The portions are huge and the staff is super friendly. One of the workers recommended the No La Oi plate for next time to try a bit of everything, and I’ll definitely be back for it. Authentic vibes and you definitely won't leave hungry!
