We’ve been eating here for over 15 years and lately it’s just not been good. Today we ordered and everything fried tasted funky. Not sure if they reused old oil but non of us could eat our food. My lemon chicken was rubbery and when I bit into it a chunk was veiny and abnormally pink. That’s about the 4th time I’ve gotten rubbery lemon chicken. The rice tasted old not fresh. And we ordered right at 11. Sad this place isn’t the same because before this last year it’s always been consistent!

Lousy service. Do not recommend!!
On Sunday 07/13 I ordered from here for pick up through yelp app. Paid with my debit card. Received confirmation of my order followed by another notification that my order would be ready to pickup between 2:54-3:04
I drove there to pick it up only to find a note on the door that they’re closed for summer break and will return on Tuesday 07/15. 😡😡
I call them on Tuesday at 4:30 when they open and explain that I ordered food from there Sunday but get there and see they’re closed so I asked if we could get our order then instead. The lady who answered was rude and answered “no! we were closed Sunday!” To which I responded
“YEAH!!!! I know you were closed but I ordered through yelp and I paid through yelp as well. My payment cleared my bank today. Can we get our order now????”
She said no!!! I have to call uber eats!!
Lousy, lousy service!!! She said they don’t get that money when we pay using yelp. 🤨🤨🤨
Really???? You prepare food that gets ordered but don’t get payment for it????! I 100% do not recommend this lousy restaurant. Worst customer service ever!!!!

I just ate lemon chicken, fried rice, egg roll, and egg drop soup the lunch was delicious and I brought half of at home for lunch tomorrow the staff was very friendly and the prices were reasonable I enjoyed the meal they are tremendously

Shang-Hai never disappoints! The food is always fresh and delicious! The service is spot on and they do great combination plates. Been going there for a long while now. Anytime we try a different place, we get disappointed and ask why we cheated on our Shang-Hai! Lol! Nothing but good things to say about this place! Great food portions too.

Update: I always get the sweet and sour chicken and Pepper Steak with fried rice and egg roll. The egg rolls are so so good. We also order the Rangoon and they are great. My husband enjoys the hot and sour soup and I love both the egg drop soup and the wonton soup. The tea is delicious too.

Did not enjoy my meal. I ordered the lemon chicken. Rice had no flavor, chicken cooked well but also had no flavor. Lemon sauce didn’t help it.
It was packed so I had some faith, but I wish I would’ve eaten a sandwich at home instead 😣

The hot and sour soup and spring rolls were good, the General Chicken was okay for me but I'm not much of a dark meat eater. I'll come back again but will order a different entree.

Ordered seasame chicken dinner to go. Opened the box and was met with the overwhelming smell of burnt grease. Chicken tasted just as bad. Rice and ragoon was ok. Egg drop soup has zero flavor
Waste of $20. Very disappointing.

This restaurant usually is pretty good but today they were off.
I went for my lunch and they took a long time to take my order. Food came out late and cold. The egg drop soup didn’t taste good. And the server was very short, not very personable. I almost felt like they were annoyed that people were coming in to have lunch.
I went up to pay at the register and the lady told me to go sit back down and wait for my waiter. But I had already been waiting five minutes for her to come and she never came.
I probably won’t be returning back

Probably some of the worst Chinese food I've had in a while. Like mall Chinese food is better. Meat all tasted boiled, very little flavor to any of the food. Just gross. Even the rice wasn't good. The only thing that tasted good was the soup.
