This used to be our familys favorite restaurant for the past 20 years! I grew up eating here ive moved and now have. A family of my own and we travel from poteet just to order once a week here. But now the rice is a weird yellow color and TOO SALTY!!!!! AND I love soy sauce... you DONT NEED TO ADD ANY IN THIS RICE. The changes slowly happened... THEY DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS JUST EXCHANGE THE FOOD... NO THANK YOU!!!! we will no longer be eating here. It's not what it used to be.
Sincerely,
Disappointed

Edit: What did yall do to the food!!!! It is disgusting now. My family and I have came here for years.
Personally getting a kick out of some of these reviews. Clearly the individuals have no taste buds. I've been coming here since I was a kid and I tell you this. The food has tons of flavor. My personal favorites are Schezuan chicken, pepper steak, lemon chicken and the chicken fried rice. I've never once had cold food but extremely hot food that you have to wait to eat for a food minutes. The wonton soup is incredible and doesn't taste like tap water like most places. Their ice sweet tea is the best and the soda is always fresh. All the wait staff are extremely nice and attentive. My drink is always refilled when half full. The best time to eat their is during lunch time at night it's a big pricey. However if you do eat at night try the chicken fried rice, there's tons of it and it's fairly cheap.

This place was a staple for my family for over thirty years. I grew up on this. Everything as so delicious and it had the best sesame chicken in the entire city in my opinion.
Now everything is dreadful. They give you some sort of chicken balls instead of the white meat from before that's about 80 percent breading. I see that is something quite common now given the reviews.
I will not come back. Whatever changes they made basically ruined this place.
Food was disgusting have been coming here for over 20 years something has changed I got spicy chicken wings they changed the sauce on them was super thick like gravy the fried rice tasted like pure onion my wife got general chicken and it was rubbery and covered in the same gravy like sauce as the wings service sucked place looks run down I guess I should’ve known something was up when the parking lot was empty at lunchtime sad to say we will never go back.

Been coming here for 20+ years and sadly the food just isn’t the same anymore. Everything we ordered today was completely tasteless. The egg drop soup was thick, gooey and gross. We barely ate half of what we ordered. We were told they had new cooks. I’m not sure what happened to the previous cooks, but they need to come back. We won’t be back again.

Good food and great service but the atmosphere left much to be desired. It has been around for a long time and it shows. Restrooms were smelly and tables were sticky.

Lunch special about 12 bucks no drink. Today food was tasteless. They have a no refund policy, now. You don't see it until you pay. There must be a new cook. Food was pretty gross. No flavor in rice or chicken and vegetables. Salt didnt help. Dropped almost 40 dollars when noticed this new sign. It use to be so good. Soup and rangoons were good. Just not the main dish.

The service was slower than slow. I was seated quickly but sat over 7 min (had to flag someone down) before anyone came by. The food was OK. I won't be going back.

My food was cold , and had the taste of freezer food. I was so disappointed and I still had to pay 23.00 dollars after I was not satisfied. The owner was rude because I was not happy with the service.I even had a bug in my drink.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for probably 15 years. I hadn’t been in a while, but went tonight and it was terrible! I got the beef with mushrooms and the beef was absolutely tasteless and had a weird texture. I definitely won’t go back’

End of an era! I started coming here as a kid almost 20 years ago. They were always fast and their food was always delicious. Consistency was their best attribute, even through COVID. But something changed very recently. Their dishes do not taste the same, their service has slowed down even when it’s not busy and unfortunately, it just doesn’t satisfy the craving it once did. It’s not disgusting, but it’s not amazing like it once was!

Our order took a long time. The young man taking our orders seemed overwhelmed. Our egg drop soup was lukewarm.

Hidden gem! Right off I10. I had the triple delight Mongolian lunch special beef, chicken and shrimp. I was impressed by the quality of the beef it was a very nice and tender cut. The price out the door with a drink was less than some fast food. Soup came with the fresh crispy wontons too. Impressive.
