We came to dinner tonight for my husband’s birthday and to say that the food was absolutely fantastic is an understatement. Everything we had was absolutely wonderful. We would highly recommend this restaurant and will defiantly be coming back.
We celebrated our anniversary here and the food was delicious! Our waiter Josh was fantastic and the host was sweet as pie. They even gave us a cute little Polaroid picture as a keepsake. We will definitely be back.
Absolutely amazing. Took my husband and Momma there and we died and went to heaven! It was incredible. The steaks, salmon, sides, and desserts 🤤. Our waiter Joshua was outstanding!

Located in the small town of Van Alstyne, Burnt by J.H. is a fine dining restaurant with a cozy and reserved atmosphere that makes the outside world melt away. The steaks are great, with the ribeye cooked perfectly and incredibly flavorful, while the pork chops are juicy and tender with a nice smoky flavor. Sides like Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese are packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The burnt end crostini is a delicious appetizer, and the shrimp and grits are fantastic. The drinks from the bar are well done and neatly served, with options like the port old fashion. Desserts, including cheesecake, chocolate cake, and carrot cake, are also outstanding. The service is top-notch, with servers who are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and have perfect timing with drinks, food, and menus. The hostess is also wonderful. Everything is delicious, and the experience is perfect for a special occasion like an anniversary. Reservations are recommended as the place fills up quickly.
