Good atmosphere great food and service
Great place to stop if visiting the parks or Marfa. The food was very fresh and delicious, and all the girls working were really sweet! We had a BBQ chicken wrap, salad with REAL mixed greens and a yummy sundae :)
great name, great prices, great people and great food. make sure to stop by!
Nice staff had coffee and a milkshake.
Best stop on a long road trip for a strawberry milkshake!!
The hotel receptionist at El Capitan recommended this place for lunch. I was a little hesitant because of the name. I ordered the Cobb salad. Super fresh. Great presentation. Friendly service. 10 out of 10!
Nice atmosphere, got busy quick.... Make sure you look the menu over well, lots of things
This café is a gem. My wife and I stumbled into this cozy lovely café traveling on interstate 10. The Western sandwich was excellent and tasty with a wonderful savory potato salad. We had the soup of the day which had the right amount of spice blended with full flavor.
If you’re traveling near Van Horn make this a stop to remember.

Great local place to stop for lunch while traveling. Was busy at noon but the staff was hustling and friendly. Sandwiches and sides were very tasty!
Probably the best ice cream I have ever had. Hugh scoops and excellent quality. Very clean inside. Its worth getting off I-10 for!
Great lunch to go.
We stopped in for ice cream during our road trip and it hit the spot! Huge scoops, we couldn’t finish our cups. Would recommend the birthday cake and red velvet! Wedding cake was also great if you like almond flavored things!

Sir, this is NOT a Wendy's. Instead, this is a café that would be a welcome addition to any city and is an absolute gem to find in Van Horn! Thankfully it was a Monday so all of the local mom & pop Mexican restaurants were closed, which otherwise might have stopped us from digging deeper to find Boots and Scoops. It's in a small strip center next to a gas station and it was telling that utility linemen and Border Patrol were parked outside - they always know where the good eats are. We had sandwiches which were fresh, generous with ingredients and excellent. One of us had a toasted ciabbata roll which was the perfect texture for bread - easy to bite into but not soggy at all. And, we broke down and got milkshakes. Made with local, homemade ice cream. We almost turned around and went back for a second one! We waited perhaps three or four extra minutes than if we had gone to a Wendy's for custom created sandwiches and excellent dessert. The interior is also thoughtful for a café in uninspired building architecture. There's a great mural on the wall and they had decorated for the season. You can go to Wendy's in any city in the US any time but you can only go to Boots and Scoops during the day in Van Horn. Eat smart, go here!
