“We stopped in for a meal & were surprised to find it was a coffee shop/book store. So no meal, but great hospitality, some great book finds, coffee, and Mexican Coke.”
“Came in early for breakfast while on a road trip and ordered the chilaquiles and chorizo breakfast burrito. Chilaquiles was delicious! Burrito was a tortilla wrapped around scrambled eggs and chorizo. Great service, the staff kept our coffee cups filled and made sure we had everything we needed. Would stop by again if in the area!”
“Hate to give my review, too many people have found out about this place and getting too busy! Haha! But they are really upping their game. Since Covid they have come back stronger and better. One of our favorite stops on our yearly road trip west from Dallas.”
“A little gem on I10 close to Van Horn. If you are driving from Dallas or San Antonio towards El Paso, this is the place to halt. Be prepared to wait, as they make food fresh. But the taste is awesome, probably one of the best Punjabi food I've tasted.Vegetarian options: Mix vegetables, Saag, Malaika kofta, dal, Navratilova Korma, Peshawar Naan”
“Pizza and cheese sticks hit the spot! Thick crust with great flavor and didn't skimp on the toppings. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be stopping again on my way through.”
“When we left Van Horn Cattle Company we noticed the place next door that looked dark inside (at least from outside). We decided to check it out, opened the door and WOW what a surprise. It's an Ice Cream Parlor called 'Boots & Scoops' and is this place ever decorated cute. It's really Texas inside. Only two people were in there and we chatted for awhile. Then the Employee, Leah, stepped out, greeted us and explained what they have. Their Ice Cream Flavors change all the time and they also have Sandwiches, Salads and a few other things. They are also attached to Van Horn Cattle Company via Big Double Doors to the Main Dining Area. We decided to try some. After sampling different Flavors my Wife decided on One Scoop of the 'Turtle Fudge'. I am having Two Scoops, one 'Black Raspberry' and the other, 'Peanut Butter & Baileys'. We took a booth after receiving our Ice Cream and Leah joined us as we ate. All our Flavors are Deliciously Creamy and strong on the Flavoring. The Peanut Butter is really Peanut Buttery with a Creamy Baileys flavoring. Boots & Scoops is Really Texas Styled Cute. We Love This Place. You can find them on Facebook: Boots and Scoops ... Your Tummy will be Texas Happy.”
“We Had The Best Server/Hostess named Victoria!! She Completely Took Care Of Me and My 3 girlfiends! I Have Super Bad Anxiety With Opened A Table On The Closed Side To Accommodate Us So Wouldn't Have To Worry About Being Overwhelmed!! Thank You For Having An Amazing Hostess/Server”
“5 stars just because it was the first place with public toilets after leaving Marfa. If you are headed to Marfa from El Paso, this too is your last chance to use the facilities. There is a Wendy's here too. But Buc-cee's it ain't.”
“Like any other. Clean restroomVegetarian options: Not much other than friesParking: Crowded but still had adequate parkingKid-friendliness: Kids meals, high chairs. The usual.Wheelchair accessibility: Seemed to have the necessary access”
“The wife and I were STARVING and could find no where open in Van Horn for food or surrounding areas on our way back home, so we reluctantly went to Subway at Loves.. the service was excellent, all 3 of the team members had great personalities and the one preparing the sandwiches walked up and washed his hands thoroughly prior to putting on gloves while holding conversation about their new flavor chips in stock. I never post reviews, but this team deserves one. Subway is subway, but they made it with care and the experience was A1, especially with me being "hangry"”
“The pizza was excellent and the thin crust was delicious! We had a house salad too-also good and there is a full bar. Hubby had an old fashioned and was very pleased with it.”
“Ask for the cook, "Chino".Very tasty food to lick your fingers, the burritos are not to be said, very plump and delicious, I give them 5 stars, excellent service??”
“A present pleasure, right in the heart of Van Horn, TX. The restaurant was clean and the service was great. Food was just like we ordered no mistakes, despite the fact that they were very busy. This Wendy's is part of the small truck stop so one would think it would not be that good, wrong!!! The staff greets you with a "Hello and a smile". The store on the other side is busy and lots to see. The restrooms are clean and well stocked. Thank you for a great stop!!!”
“This was my first time and let me say the red enchiladas were to die for. Super delicious, great mid spicy sauce along with the order of fluffy perfect french fries (as a side) definitely recommend this place to one and all whether your just passing by or are in the area. Will be coming back again!”
