Stopped in on a family road trip across country after seeing this on the Texas Bucket List. LOVED IT! We cannot express how good the food and service were! My kids and I initially didn't want to come with my husband because we were still full from lunch, but after tasting the food, everyone, EVEN my SUPER PICKY SON, finished our plates! The prices and serving sizes were great! The service was wonderful, like talking with my grandparents. We even got banana nut bread on the way out to take with us which was also amazing! We have planned our upcoming road trip around being able to stop at this restaurant again, and we are really looking forward to it!

Place is clean and inviting. I ordered two breakfast burritos, the chorizo & the bacon, egg bean and cheese. Both were very hot and wrapped to go. Everything tasted great and made to order like someone’s grandmom made it for me.

It’s a small restaurant almost in the middle of nowhere, but it was great. Fresh Mexican food, very friendly owners! I asked for not spicy food because of my son’s preferences, and we got really not spicy meal at all. Thanks for lunch.

It's a mom and pop type business built behind a home. We stopped on our way home from San Antonio after consulting Google.I ordered the combo plate and water, which was from the tap. My kids each ordered cheeseburgers (one with bacon), an order of fries to share, and a soda each. Our total was $46, which is comparable to the prices we paid on Riverwalk. Pricewise it's excessively steep even with inflation.Taste was alright. We're from New Mexico-- eating Mexican food is ingrained in us. The food definitely wasn't the worst we've had, but it was far from the best.The restaurant was ok as far as cleanliness, but we did notice tables weren't wiped between customers. The waiter was an older gentlemen who we assumed was the cook's husband. It was just the two working.Overall it was an alright experience, but we'd go somewhere else if we were in the area again.

Service and food were great! Loves the atmosphere and decor. Would definitely go back for lunch time. We went for breakfast and I had the egg and bacon plate husband had the egg and sausage plate kids both had the egg and chorizo burrito. Chips and salsa as well. The salsa was great to add to the burritos and the beans!!
It was such a joy to eat lunch here while passing through Van Horn. I got delicious green chicken enchiladas, which I’d highly recommend. The food tasted so fresh and flavorful.

Unfortunately we were not able to eat here. It smelled amazing and had a super cozy feel. We left because they were out of burgers and I couldn't get my child to agree to anything else (no energy to argue as we were on the last leg of a very long road trip). I definitely hope to get back and try it.
