Staff, food and drinks were amazing. The only reason they missed 5 stars is for them having their mushrooms, that go on the steak, are pre cooked with onions and you cannot order them without. But here I am not even using proper English so it's fine. Highly recommend this establishment.

We moved to the Davis Mountains last Summer and have been searching for a restaurant that would be a good one for Date Nights. We have become very familiar with Fort Davis and Alpine, and fairly familiar with Marfa, but clearly we had not become familiar enough with Van Horn yet because it took us five months to try this amazing and wonderful place!! Yes, we now have our Date Night spot, finally.

Very delicious salmon dinner with big portions so I had another meal out of the leftovers. My husband had the chicken fried steak and said it was delicious.

Stopped here while we were staying overnight in VH on our trek across the country as someone referred us to VHCC. We are so happy we listened to them!! Hubby got the burger and steak fries and I got wings and a side salad and everything was incredible! I’m from Buffalo and know good chicken wings and VHCC’s wings definitely did not disappoint! The service was great as well. Eat here- you’ll be glad you did!!

I ordered lemon pepper and Chipotle bbg chicken wings and the Cattleman's salad. Chicken wings were larger than usual and cooked to perfection. The salad had a lovely mixture of greens, not the usual iceberg.
I ordered to go. I will definitely eat here again next time I am in town.

Staying in this highway town for the night was recommended by my HotelMGR to give it a try. Wow, was thrilled! The filet was 1/3 the cost of the big city steak houses and the quality was spot on! I opted for a salad in lieu of sides and the Greek salad did not disappoint. I almost skipped the entree after a hefty appetizer of Wings that were great too. Service was outstanding and very personable. Thanks VanHorn!
