If you want authentic you get it here! They have some of the best food I've had in a bit and their prices are suspicious low for what they serve.
They come out with salsa and queso ON THE HOUSE with both fried corn and flour tortilla. I've had their fajitas, enchiladas, and quesadilla. Nothing has disappointed me. They have some of the best refried beans I've had.
While the atmosphere is very simple they are remodeling the place a little at a time and shows how they are only improving the place and the food over time.
There is also a drive thru which offers you a chance to get everything without having to get out of your car.

Came in around lunch time, set at the bar. One employee was on phone and watched me walk in and set never came to see what I need or wanted. Another employee came out the back twice and spoke with the employee on the phone. Was there around 10min. with no service. Just decided it was best to leave.

My first time here...can't believe I haven't been in here before now. It won't be the last time!!! The migas plate was so delicious that I didn't even have to season it with salt. I am excited that they have milanesa and tortas!!!

WAYY too much bell pepper in your enchilada meat. No reason for it if you ask me
Between food trucks and storefronts, there must be upwards of 40 Mexican restaurants in Victoria. El Norteno stands out as one of the best when it comes to prices, service, and quality of food you name it, they excel at it. All around, it’s a fantastic place to eat. They offer great specials, and the waitresses are always friendly, fast, and efficient. If you’re looking for delicious Mexican food at an affordable price, I couldn’t recommend this restaurant more highly.
