Awesome 1st visit to Fossati's! We saw this establishment featured on Daytripper. Our experience was perfect! I had their Reuben sandwich & glass of wine; delicious - cant wait to return and try more of their menu items, especially their soups and desserts ! Our waitress was wonderful, so helpful with information about the downtown area, other businesses she thought we might enjoy - such a welcoming experience!!
I love visiting older establishments like this. Atmosphere is great! The staff is super nice, and very friendly. The food is delicious!!! Definitely one of the better delis in south Texas

Step back in time to great eats and good service. Texas Historical Marker aside, the metal horse rings on the sidewalk will tell you this place has been around. The Cheesy potato soup was just like I imagined an old chuck wagon cook would serve you, after a long cattle drive. The story about the Italian immigrant starting this, the "oldest delicatessen in Texas", would not be as believable, till you taste their spaghetti and meat sauce. MAMMA MIA that's Texas Italian.
